Gets the job done
- Pros: Its a good 64 bit operating system, with more support and stability than xp 64 bit.
- Cons: It didn't want to update from the service pack 1 disk included with it. I had to physically download the update from Microsoft and install it. Also had to reformat to make it work. Some applications won't work with it for whatever reason but it does support more than xp 64 bit
- Other Thoughts: Overall it works and if you are building a system with over 3 gigs of ram or just want a 64 bit operating system then get this one. Hopefully 64 bit will get a whole lot better with windows 7.
vista
- Pros: Works great! can't beat microsoft
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: if i were to do it again i would get ultimate edition
Great OS
- Pros: Looks great and loaded with features. I like the side bar that they added to the desktop. Easy to navigate for the most part. I was able to find My Computer without a problem, but I see where the confusion is coming from. Don't listen to the people talking down about Vista. Xp was the worst OS in history according to reviews when it first came out. In time this OS will make you very happy esp. in 64-bit!!
- Cons: All the bad reviews almost made me buy XP for a Vista 64-bit capable computer. I'm glad I didn't do that!!
- Other Thoughts: ASUS P5Q MOBO, Intel core 2 duo E8400 wolfdale CPU, Thermatake V1 Heatsink fan, 4GB (2GBx2) G. Skill DDR2 RAM, GeForce N9600GT 512MB videocard, runs smooth!!
