hold on to this for a while
- Pros: seems to allow things to work as they are supposed to. MANY systems and features supported. if its working for ya why change? its a mere older version of W7. great for those NETBOOKS..
- Cons: support is nearing end..
"compatibility dont mean runnability"
- Other Thoughts: if you are thinking of upgrading to w7 like myself. consider this. unless your system is within the last year you will need to make clean install. just read the microsoft notes on that! if your system is more than 2 years old this may be the best place to stay. im having major issues with an older 945 chipset all is well with xp though..
Works as advertised
- Pros: I'm staying with XP for now, The cost benefit of going to 7 just doesn't work out.
The 5 eggs are for Newegg, you guys rock !!
- Cons: What I would gain with 7 just doesn't make it worthwhile for me to go to it.
- Other Thoughts: Many applications and maybe some hardware wouldn't be backward compatible, I know 7 has the XP mode but for what I would gain over XP just isn't worth the hassle for me. Also some stock brokers software isn't 7 ready yet.
Back to XP
- Pros: It's the best! I've had no problems with the Pro versions; but lesser versions seem to get all messed up!
