5 out of 5 eggsWhy wont u go below 179-199 range?

Pros: -Its not win 8.
-Still not win8
-Wait, its still not win8
-Come with 32 and 64 bit disk.
-Comes with codec to play Dvd movies, something that lacked in Win 8 & XP

Cons: -Honestly why doesn't this ever go below $179 - 199 range?
-1 license for 1 pc (come on microsoft at least make it for 2 pc)

Other Thoughts: I got my for $160 at a certain online store whose stock is hovering around $380, that are thinking of hover drones for delivery. Extremely lucky, never saw that price ever again.
Best Win OS, will miss XP but dang Win7 is far better.
Made me switch camps again. Bye bye Mac.

Honestly XP its so old I had to switch to Mac (refused Vista).
Now Mac OsX is boring since all of them are just minor adjustments (not to mention they ran out of cats name).
Win7 makes thing appear more modern.

3 out of 5 eggs1 PC only.....

Pros: Its a fine Operating System.

Cons: For $199.99 I should be able to put it on my 2 computers. I have read over the box and all the papers it came I can't find any thing where it says 1 computer only.

Major Rip off I don't know if its all windows 7 codes or just from newegg but this should be mentioned in the specs on the product page.

5 out of 5 eggsNice OS

Pros: Done my research and didn't purchase the OEM. The support for window 7 won't end until 2020, so we have a long way to go before then Microsoft will release another OS 5-6 years after Window 8. This OS does a decent job for gaming and occasional usage. No problems so far and happy to use over 4gb of ram again with 64-bit.

Cons: Expensive
limited to 16GB of ram
limited feature compare to two other versions

Other Thoughts: I didn't need more then 8gb of ram and professional and ultimate didn't really suit my needs. Overall, I am completely satisfied.

5 out of 5 eggsSurprisingly Good, Satisfying Upgrade from XP

Pros: Windows 7 is the worthy successor to Windows XP that Vista should have been. I was pleasently surprised with how easy and efficient to install on an 7 year old legacy computer. The user interface to Windows 7 are different and it takes a little experience to become profficient. Learning curve is not very steep going from Windows XP. Windows 7 seems to be a very solid OS and the packaged applications are nice.

Windows 7 Home Premium has everything I need for my PC. I see little reason to upgrade to Professional unless you need memory greater than 16 GB.

Cons: Limited to 16GB of system Memory and one CPU Socket. I see no need for this. Need the Professional or Ultimate Editions for more than 1 CPU socket or 16GB of memory.

Other Thoughts: I was able to install a 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium on a 7 year old Intel DG965HW with a Core2 Quad Q6600. Although Intel only provided specific Windows 7 support for the Chipset, I found that Vista 64-bit drivers available for this motherboard work very well with Windows 7.

I recommend this OS.

Going from XP Home to Windows 7 Home Premium is like an American being transplanted to England. The language is the same but the traditions are different expressed in different ways of doing the same tasks.

For Windows 8, its like being transplanted to where all of the English wackos, lunatics and eccentrics live.

2 out of 5 eggsShipping sucks

Pros: good OS.

Cons: Shipping from anywhere for this is idiotic...

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure why I went ahead and bought this through newegg. The OS isn't bad, NewEgg has been smooth with the transaction outside of personal issue's with bank.. Don't bother buying this if you can go to a local geek store and get it.. it's quicker, and it's going to be cheaper ( shipping charges may apply.)
