5 out of 5 eggsStill Pricey

Pros: This is becoming a sort of Citadel against Windows 8 and other new stuff coming onto the Market. I still use a XP Pro which will no longer be updated or supported by Microsoft around April of 2014.

This Operating system gives you a disk for either a 32 bit or a 64 Bit installation.

Cons: The Price. Frankly I have 4 of these now and it's like 1200.00 or more dollars in software OS'es alone.

ENOUGH.

Other Thoughts: I have a disk without a serial key card and am able to use it to bring a failed system under control and then activate with a valid key. No problem.

Just today I had a raid 5 array fail and get rebuilt. The Windows 7 Restored my computer in about an hour off my back up and system image which was contained on a single port Roswell USB Docking station.

I suppose my SSD's which are now more than a year old will continue to fail one by one until I replace all of them. So 2013 will be a busy Newegg year for me.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat OS!

Pros: It's Windows 7 Ultimate.

Cons: $300 Retail.

Other Thoughts: Tried Windows 8. It was okay but Win 7 is what I know. Didn't care much for the tiles and the lack of a start menu in Win 8. I know there are third party apps for menus but they just didn't work all that well for me. I will wait until MS releases something better than 8.

5 out of 5 eggsThe XP..for the future gens...

Pros: THis is windows xp on steroids. Microsoft finally got it right with this one. A bit pricey but well worth it. Buy it once and enjoy gaming, multitasking, socializing..etc. This OS really rocks. I really feel windows 7 is going to put a strain on Tech shops, on its ability to fix itself. That was one of the first things I noticed about WIn 7. Its unique abillity to fix itself on general errors which years before would require some tech help and lots of dollars to go with it. So for the gen user you have safe mode and some other options as well. I'll be using this for years to come.
They finally ................got it right.

Cons: If any still pricey....but buy it once and your set. You can keep upgrading your system with no problems. Different if you buy a OEM, cheaper but limited.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Product

Pros: Works great. Really like the addition of XP Mode.

Cons: Annoying features like always combine taskbar and automatically resize windows when moved the the edge of the screen need to be disabled.

5 out of 5 eggscrazy, stupid, capacity

Pros: Complete overkill. Pure bragging rights. Awe inspiring. Purposeless, senseless, shiny, awesomeness. Oh yeah, i got it for $100!

Cons: Well, i knew this would happen, but it takes a miracle to get this to run at 1866 on my gigabyte ud7 990fx.
Running at 1600 with my amd 1090t which can only realistically access 8-16gb. So i have a huge cpu bottleneck on this ram - and i love it.
Also my wei did not budge from 7.6 even though i came from 8gb of ddr2 800. Lol
Twice the speed quadruple the capacity and nada. But i knew that getting into it, but the coolness of having 32 gb of ram was too much to resist.

Other Thoughts: Waiting for steamroller, maybe it will use at least half
Also, i am an editor so multitasking through the entire adobe creative suite with a game minimized was starting to push my 8gb. Wont be worrying about that anymore

5 out of 5 eggsGreat! Good Extras

Pros: Worked like a charm right out of the box

bitlocker? good to know it's there at least but good luck stealing anything in my pc :P

Cons: could be cheaper but it does have a lot of software extras, some things that by themselves would cost 80 bucks or more so i guess it's understandable

5 out of 5 eggsDon't wait until you can't get this anymore.

Pros: It is not windows 8. Windows eight looks like it was designed for a either a smart phone or a dumb computer. You better buy this or regret using the next "windows millenium edition". You know the windows cousin that lives in the attic that nobody talks about but everybody knows is up there.

Cons: A little pricey,

Other Thoughts: smooches.

4 out of 5 eggsIts Windows

Pros: It is Windows.

Windows 7 is probably the best windows OS to date. Ultimate giving pretty much all the available options one would want.

32/64bit both

More reliable than OEM/system builder as far as upgrading the PC

Cons: Expensive as all get out. There is no reason it should be this much (i paid $289)

I coudln't get the Microsoft USB iso builder thingy to work. It would boot but it wouldn't see my SSDs. Worked fine from DVD though /shrug

Other Thoughts: If XP had better TRIM support for SSDs I may have stayed there and got another video card or something.

Part of a new system build. Yeah OEM may have been cheaper, but Retail is easier/safer to take to other systems.
