Resource hungry.

Other Thoughts: I have gotten everything I expected from Windows Home Premium. I have considered purchasing windows 8 to reduce the high energy consumption on my computer from windows 7.

5 out of 5 eggsFinally

Pros: MS has finally gotten on the right track with an OS that is stable, fast, and user friendly. The GUI is very similar to previous versions but customizable to the point that it feels all new.

Cons: Really no cons other than the typical never-ending patches and security updates by MS,but thats all part of the MS experience and to be expected.

5 out of 5 eggsIs what you would expect

Pros: + This is what you expect - a System Builder's version of Windows Home edition. Works well. Never had any trouble with it.

Cons: - No Microsoft support. This should be expected. OEM versions are cheaper largely because they don't come with support from MS. I don't have a problem with this, but it may be worth repeating for some people.

- Does not allow you to pick your edition of Windows to install. This is probably because it is an OEM edition, but many other 7 and Vista install DVDs will allow you to install and try other editions of Windows such as Professional and Utimate. This would be nice for me as I have other editions of 7 as well, but the work around to have this disc install with a key from another edition is to install with no home key and then use the anytime upgrade with the new key.

Other Thoughts: Overall it's Windows 7 Home for people who want to upgrade or install on a machine without paying for full retail, as long as you don't care about needing MSFT's support. Great for system builders, which many people on NewEgg are.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat OS

Pros: I'm pretty sure everyone knows the pro's and con's of Windows 7 if you're shopping on Newegg.. but let's just say Windows 7 is x10000 better than Vista and x1000 more up-to-date than XP.

Cons: I find the cons of Windows to be subjective; nothing much to really gripe about.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Excellent OS. Best one since XP. Is there really anything else? Not with this capability!

Cons: The intsant desk top access by holding your mouse in the lower right hand corner is irritating. You will know when you have it.

1 out of 5 eggsWGA problems

Pros: Nice OS

Cons: Am now on my 4th time dealing with MS about Windows Genuine Advantage Activation issues. Consider becoming a Pirate for this kind of hassle. Tech support from MS is a run-around.

Other Thoughts: Go to Linux or Mac - Windows punishes it's customers
