awesome system
- Pros: newest system, 64bit. cheap price. Has the stability of xp plus all the effects of vista. Works with her 4 year old printer found driver by itself easy install took 30 minutes.

- Other Thoughts: bought this for my daughter and she loves it. I let her try the rc1 of it for the last 2 months it was ultimate but she said she didnt need all the features of ultimate so went with home premium. Finally a system the is better than xp and has all the eye candy of vista. She like how she can use it on highest settings on monitior and the icons and type is still normal size. I think microsoft finally made up for the bad thoughts of vista.

This is definetly worth the price.
Whats best for XP users is the XP Mode so its bound to fit anyone's needs.
For Gaming: from upgrading Vista to Windows 7, I did notice a slight FPS increase and less lag when i ran mutiiple windows

Favorite OS
- Pros: I love this operating system. On my system it even boots faster than XP!
- Cons: Boots slower than DOS :(
- Pros: Boots up very quickly. Lot of useful features; I love the new taskbar, and jumplists are convenient. Works fine with every program I use and all my hardware. Hasn't crashed at all yet, and that includes the Beta and Release Candidate I was using before buying.
- Cons: Not all the menus have a consistent UI, and sometimes the location of options is a bit unintuitive. These are problems that a system as big as Windows will always have, in my opinion, and at least they are minor. Also, stupid indexing service decides to index files whenever I'm in a game.
- Other Thoughts: I've been using the Release Candidate since it was released, and the Beta before that. I had been running XP Home until then; I skipped Vista entirely.
Works Well
- Pros: Very smooth system. searches fast and everything i have placed on it works
- Cons: the 64bit .exe wasn't recognized by the 32-bit Win7RC. had to boot from CD to install which means i had to get into the bios and get a PS2 connector keyboard from my old computer
