Pros: Having played the original Zoo Tycoon and having eyed Zoo Tycoon 2 since its release back in 2004, I finally have it. This however would be a more recent 2008 release with all the expansions included. You can also change the screen resolution to whatever your monitor/display adapter supports. Some older games don't have that type of support! Visually, the game looks great too, although obviously a bit dated. Tons of animals and other items to really go all out for your zoo. Cons: You may run into some trouble on a 64bit version of Windows with more than 4Gb of ram installed. You'll get the "You need at least 256MB Of System Memory to run Zoo Tycoon 2 (0MB detected)" error. Found an easy method to get around this though: Just set Compatibility Mode to either Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP. After that, the game worked great for me on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, 4Gb of ram and a GeForce GTX 550 Ti. While Extinct Animals is a nice addition, I still prefer Operation Genesis for dinosaurs. :3 Other Thoughts: It still holds its own being a tycoon game in 2011, but only because of all the expansion packs included. Cons: None Other Thoughts: In freestyle play you get unlimted money which is nice sense in the first one I had to use a cheat code to get enough money to build the cages and buy the animals and that.Plus with the guest view you can see the animals up close. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. A bit over whelming on what you can do but there is a plenty of mini games, missions, etc you can do in this game to keep you busy and entertained. Cons: Freestyle you have unlimited money, to me this is a con. I liked to build up my money to make a park in free style.
