4 out of 5 eggsWish I would have spent extra and bought upgrade.

Pros: Works just like all the other win7 32 bit.
Nobody calls ms anymore they just google for answers.

Cons: The pro upgrade I bought earlier for another box came with both 32 and 64 disks and I can wipe the hd and re-install. This I have no clue. So if I want a new mb or go past 4 gig tough luck or i don't know. Stupid choice on my part over twenty bucks.

Other Thoughts: Newegg would not let return after 90 days, which i think was short sited on their part because i was all up for new mb, mem, video, fan, but this took the wind out of my sails.

5 out of 5 eggsInformation Correction

Pros: See previous review dated 12/31/2012

Cons: See previous review dated 12/31/2012

Other Thoughts: This is to correct my original review below. The Dell E1505 laptop I installed this on came with the T2300 CPU and chipset and only supports a 32-bit OS. I did install it to take full advantage of a 4GB memory upgrade, however, since this is a 32-bit OS coupled with 32-bit hardware it still only utilizes ~3.25GB of the 4GB installed not really the full 4GB I stated below. It does make the most out of the memory upgrade, but the previous OS, WinXP, would have utilized the same amount of the the 4GB memory upgrade. Just wanted to add this statement for accuracy. Still very happy with the upgrade to Win7. Only needed to manually install two chipset drivers obtained from the Dell website. Win7 detected all other installed hardware on this laptop.

5 out of 5 eggsDell E1505 Laptop Ugrade/Refresh

Pros: No issues during install

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Windows 7 32-bit installed on my Dell E1505 with T2300 Core Duo laptop with no issues. The main reason I upgraded was to make use of all 4GB of the memory upgrade that was being installed. Windows XP wouldn't have supported all 4GB. Win7 installed without a hitch and all 4 GB of memory was recognized. Win7 coupled with the 4 GB of memory was a nice upgrade to this aging, but still useful laptop. Feels like a new laptop.

4 out of 5 eggsGot this for use with Parallels Desktop 8.

Pros: I got this just to get a product key and it worked to activate W7 on my parallels desktop 8 on my hackintosh.

Cons: I wish Windows provided Product Keys as a stand-alone product without providing media for people that already have everything set up.

Other Thoughts: I wish Microsoft charged less for their OS.

5 out of 5 eggsMAC WIN

Pros: Quality & affordable!

Cons: It's only 8 gig

Other Thoughts: I used OSX's Disk Utility to format drive to exFat so that it works to transfer files between windows/macs. I will eventually be using it mainly as a bootable OSX10.8 installer.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Operating System!

Pros: The best of Xp and Vista (without the bloat!). This is what Vista should have been. Very fast and stable OS.

Cons: Kind of expensive for OEM.

Other Thoughts: Going to get 64 bit version soon so I can have access to all that speedy RAM!

Nice OS. Easy to install, little of an upgrade over Home Premium for not much more.
