Excellent Choice!
- Pros: This program is excellent for editing 1080p video and it has awesome special effects! It is also relatively user friendly and great for the person who is just getting into video editing.
- Cons: A little glitchy, but still way worth it! Overall, I have had a couple of lock-ups, however Pinnacle Studio remembers everything when you open it back up. Therefore you do not lose your movie!
- Other Thoughts: I also have used Cyberlink Power Director, Roxio Easy Media creator and a few others and I believe this one tops them all!
Installed just fine
- Pros: Update to previous review. Installed just fine, but needed to disabled anti-Virus (Kaspersky) before install to get Serial number prompt.
- Cons: Could have reminded me to disable Anti-Virus in the Step-by-Step Installation instructions!
Not ready yet 10-4-09
- Pros: Cheapest from NewEgg. $30 rebate for upgrades
- Cons: Can't get it to install on my VISTA-64 machine. First wouldn't ask for a serial number and wouldn't open. After scrubbing my registry of all things Pinnacle, now it spontaneously aborts while trying to install. Wasted weekend.
- Other Thoughts: Nothing special about my system, ran 12.1 just fine. Do you feel lucky? Wait for a service release before attempting?
