Unleash the secrets of a Lost continent.

Since the world was sundered more than ten thousand years ago, the ancient realm of Pandaria, shrouded in fog, has remained unspoiled by war. Its lush forests and cloud-ringed mountains are home to a complex ecosystem of indigenous races and exotic creatures. It is the homeland of the enigmatic Pandaren, a race that celebrates life to the fullest even while under siege by an ancient menace.

The new continent reveals itself to a broken world just as the Alliance and Horde are spiraling ever closer to a war that will consume all of Azeroth. Will the mists of Pandaria part to reveal the world's salvation? Or will the battle to control this rich and breathtaking new land push the two mighty factions over the brink of war and into total annihilation? The answers await within Pandaria's mysterious shores!

  • newegg Challenge Modes The clock is ticking. Your group is making good progress, but you realize that if you don't hurry and work as a team, you will never make it in time. You approach the dungeon's last boss with a look of grim determination on your face; you will get that gold medal this time, come what may. He's almost down, but there are only seconds left on the timer. You yell at your group mates to give it their all for one last push, fingers flying across your keyboard. Finally he drops, and your group screams triumphantly: you've beaten the dungeon's best time. You've mastered its Challenge Mode.
  • newegg Pet Battle System For years, your faithful companion pets have followed you on countless adventures. They've provided you with comfort, company, sometimes even with entertainment and hours of fun. Maybe you only have a handful of pets you really love, or maybe you have made it your quest to capture as many of them as you can. The fact remains, heroes love their little companions... and in Mists of Pandaria, they will take the spotlight in a brand-new way.
  • newegg Battle to Level 90 Ascend to new heights of power as you explore the verdant reaches of the Jade Forest, war with the terrible Yaungol on Kun-Lai Summit, and unlock the secrets of the Mogu'shan Vaults.
  • newegg Master the Power of the Monk Learn the mystic powers of the Monk, World of Warcraft's newest playable class. Destroy foes with the Windwalker's devastating attacks, replenish allies with the Mistweaver's spiritual energies, and shrug off enormous damage with the Brewmaster's unyielding strength.
  • newegg Unleash Pandemonium Set out as a member of the enigmatic Pandaren - World of Warcraft's first neutral race - and join the ranks of either the Horde or Alliance as you enter the conflict brewing on Pandaria's shores.
  • newegg Bestiary The Virmen are an annoyance with the potential to become a serious problem. Rabbit-like pests with powerful hind legs that send them bounding across terrain, Virmen typically live and scavenge out of sight in caves and burrows. But when the civilized races of Pandaria draw near their warrens, the Virmen are a famine on legs.Virmen are inveterate lurkers, awaiting the opportunity to grab carrion, garbage, or actual food whenever they can. They’ll steal and eat nearly anything, then scurry away, leaving behind overturned tables and ransacked trash piles. The menace of the Virmen is only slightly increased by their propensity to wield stolen daggers (or, failing that, sharpened pieces of bamboo) in both hands. Though most Virmen avoid direct conflict, they are not unwilling to attack others in pursuit of the sustenance that drives their every waking moment.

3 out of 5 eggsBetter than Cata, but worse than first 3 game editions

Pros: New area to explore and panda race to try out.

New items introduced to the game with neat abilities.

Runs ok on old Pentium 4 2.8Ghz HT with GeForce 7800GT AGP video card. ( Although game warns that the GPU is out of date )
*Note you will have better performance on a newer computer with good CPU and better GPU.

Cons: Cons far outweigh the pros. I have been with WoW since Classic WoW aka Vanilla in 2005. The game was great until Cata, which caused me to take a 9 month leave from the game. I came back because some friends lured me back. I bought this expansion and got bored with it after about 2 weeks.

Timeless Isle = Grind Central ( lack of ideas of what to do with people when they reach level 90 ) and reminds me of a Mario Brothers / World of Warcraft merger. Everything you do drops coins. Robbing a birds nest, mining a node of metal, killing everything, finding boxes, and glittering sand all drops coins. You get a few coins per kill and you are spending like 60,000 of them to get anything worth while.

Rare spawns are everywhere and some drop some cool stuff, but for the most part they are too easy to kill and with everyone using NPC Scanner addons, by the time you are alerted to the presence since you are also using this addon its already dead.

Panda's play as neutral until level 10 in which you have to decide alliance or horde. Why dont they make this this way with all races since we already know that there are NPC traitors on each side that are part of quests etc that are human horde and blood elf alliance etc.

Have to be level 90 to fly in MoP and on PvP servers 90s camp all quest areas and kill the new 85s entering the zone making the game play a very bad experience for anyone wanting to PvE on a PvP realm.

Merged Realms are imbalanced. For example Sargeras use to be a fun balanced PvP Realm and now its disproportionate to where its 75% horde to 25% alliance. Its so bad that level 90's feast on lower levels questing such as trying to quest in Tanaris you get ganked, and a group is also waiting at the grave yard so you cant even rez and take sickness and hearth they kill you as soon as you appear.

PvP on Merged Realm is very very very BAD for lower levels. The Dark Portal Portal from the cities drops you off in a large crack in the ground and level 90s are standing on the top if the ledge and as soon as you appear you are killed. They also camp the dark portal so anyone trying to enter as say level 59 are ganked. Anyone lucky enough to make it through the portal are ganked as soon as they appear on the other side where there is another gank mob killing lower levels for the fun of it since there is no honor points gained from killing lower levels.

Anyone with a level 85+ toon on a PvP realm wanting to flee the PvP Merged Realm Gank Fest of lower levels has to pay $25 to move character to a different Realm. It cost me $25 to move my level 90 DK to Wyrmrest Accord ( RP ) so I can PvE without ganks. Its almost like blizz intentionally did this to cash in on people wanting to get away from constant ganks.

RealID Friends who party up with you, when you are on a PvP realm, they on a PvE or RP realm get flagged PvP and all instance entrances camped with gank mobs to kill

Requires 1 mb or better bandwith internet or else lots of lag

Other Thoughts: If you are new to the game I suggest a RP or PVE realm. You wont get ganked unless you intentionally flag yourself or attack a horde guard etc. (* You can get an instant PVP to PVE Cool Down by taking a flight point anywhere..normally you have to wait 5 minutes for the CD.

I abandoned all my toons on PvP realms, and am playing on Wyrmrest Accord which is a RP realm. This way I can PVE and when I want to PVP I can flag myself or enter to go into a PVP ring etc.

Blizzard is no longer moderating the content in the game like they use to. I think this is because they cut the number of employees down due to the fact that the game has lost many millions of players. In Wyrmrest Accord the Goldshire Inn in Goldshire is a 24 hour red light of sick individuals. It is the red light district of WoW on this realm where players ERP and ...out their toons etc, and no one is getting banned. Back say 5 or 6 years ago the game was much cleaner with people like this banned. You also have people spamming the channels with stuff that you wouldnt want your child seeing and blizzard is not on top of stopping the xxx acts and content in public places in the game etc.

Since I started playing WoW in 2005 many people have come and gone from the game. More seem to have left than are coming as new players to the game. I have a friends list with over 40 people and its down to 2 active friends with everyone else moving on from wow. I have made some new friends, but there are only 2 of 40 people left from the beginning of the gameplay.

If you want to try this game out before investing money into it I suggest playing a "Starter Edition" account which is free to play with a level 20 level cap. There are many restrictions to the free play accounts, but you can experience the game before sinking any money into it.

I have played wow since Nov 2005 and have spent over $1600 on this game with $15 a month X 94 months + original game and 4 expansions. Sometimes I wish I had the $1600 cash instead of all the time I put into this game that while there are good memories, playing anymore I am tempted to quit for good, but with some friends its more of a online social gathering that I am paying for.

They should drop the monthly fee to $9.99 from $14.99, but they are hurting for money so they cant afford to do that.

Yes I prepurchased the next expansion with an instant 90 promo and made an instant 90 monk. If this next expansion is a let down, then I will be pulling the plug on WoW after almost 10 years playing wow. I have played Warcraft since Warcraft II playing 2 player games across dial-up modems and serial null cables between 2 systems with friends. Hoping the next expansion is not the final chapter in this game for me, but I have doubts whether they will be able to pull thru and make this game what it once was. ='(

Anyone looking for a good friendly adult guild should inquire on Wyrmrest Accord with Minions of Mayhem an age 18+ adult level 25 guild. =)

5 out of 5 eggsWoW

Pros: Got exactly what I wanted. No problems with anything.

Cons: Doesn't come with breakfast.

Other Thoughts: Saved money ordering with Newegg once again. Newegg usually can't be beat. It's my first stop with online shopping. Excellent product from an excellent seller.

4 out of 5 eggslol @ no way to customize looks

Pros: They added the ability to transmog armor (make t16 look like t4 or whatever green/heroic/epic gear you want in the same class cloth-to-cloth etc) Still tons of things to do. At first I thought they dumbed the game too much with class remod v3. However, there are more viable builds than wotlk and before where there was a cookie cutter build and everyone ran with that.

Cons: Fragmented community due to CRZ and most of the current players mostly hate CRZ (cross realm zones)
graphics are a bit outdated
Can be problematic finding a good server. (plenty of kids willing to flame you for not using proper grammar, walking funny, or any other silly nonsense.)

Other Thoughts: While gfx is an important part of any game... Game play remains a much more important one. There are many games that are more pretty to look at than WoW. They might even have realistic bouncing things with long legs and wavy grass with shiny water. Game play is what keeps players subbed and playing. Wow is still better than any other game out there, unfortunately.

2 out of 5 eggsThis Expantion is horrible

Pros: Decent beginners Story line.

Cons: Story line took too long, the weapons were low dps.
Economy in this expansion is horrible.

End Game gear still makes you look like Football players.
"with them Giant shoulders".

Factions are not as helpful anymore, Not many players talk.

Other Thoughts: Played the game since I was 13, I am almost 20 now.
5 days of play, got temp banned last warning : for hacking..

" I don't hack, Re did my OS , and continued to play*
Thought maybe a random virus hit me or something.

played for a few months.. pc died out.. stopped playing for 3 months.. pc fixed, new hard drive, and some other parts
basically almost an entire new pc.

fresh copy of windows, start playing again.
leveling up a new toon, spent almost 4 straight.. on a hunter and i don't even like hunters.. all the way up to level 72, and i got banned.... Banned for 3'ed party program, on a fresh copy of windows 7 ultimate.

My copy of windows 7 is legit from wal-mart.

Blizzard - I contacted them each time, and both times they couldn't tell me any details of what happend, and how I might be able to fix the issue.

I asked If the problem that happened now was the same problem that happened, last time and they would not tell me. For all I know some noobs could have been mad and Did a False player report and got me banned for spamming or botting ect.

Who knows...
I will continue to buy blizzard games, but nothing via wow.
Its too expensive, its not really that fun since CATA came out. the community isn't cool anymore. I think they could have done more.

5 out of 5 eggsStill the best!

Pros: I've been playing WOW off and on for a long time now. I take a few months off every now and then but always come back. Its true that the graphics engine is aging and this specific expansion does'nt add a whole lot for the hard core WOW entusiasts but this is still the best MMO on the market in my opinion. Its simple, (so simple my wife plays now), which could be a turn off for some but lets my family get involved.

Cons: Aging graphics, monthly charge should be reduced, install is stupid large considering the graphics.

Other Thoughts: Blizzard does a good job keeping this as bug free as possible. They have made a ton of money from WOW so I hope they don't just try to refine WOW but instead release a whole new game built on a much newer more aesthetically pleasing graphics engine. I would hate to see Blizzard loose they're #1 grip on this genre.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't waste your Money

Pros: None that I can think of..

Cons: Blizzard has brought the World of Warcraft to a new low. Although I started playing WoW pre-BC, the game is no longer worthwhile. They have no way to customize toons, there is no reason to go for achievements on more than your main, as once one toon has it, they all do. This game is ideal for preschoolers or those who think at that level.

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your money.

2 out of 5 eggsnot really worth it

Pros: Monks, scenery, adds an entirely new aspect with pet battles (even if they're lame)

Cons: Pandas are overpowered for leveling, all the classic classes were nerfed into oblivion, new talent system doesn't even feel like WoW, end game content isn't as fun as previous expansions

Other Thoughts: I get the feeling they were trying to appeal more to new players and casuals. That's all well and good, but in the process they forgot about an entire demographic in serious players. Come on, Blizzard. Alienating loyal players is just stupid.

2 out of 5 eggsTotal waste

Pros: Game play controls still the same

Cons: Nerfing runs rampant here in this version. Was under the impression that certain races/classes would get enhanced( ie.. Druids get better spells, Mages get the power they deserve for being squishy)well what I heard/read was wrong. They nerfed Druids, Warriors, Tauren, Rogues, and mages to a point you dont want to play em. I been playing since the first release of WOW. and totaly dont mind Changes. But nerfing classes and Races was stupid. I was a guild leader and my entire guild quit after the release. To much Nerfing and enough reward. Good patters not achievable at all till mastery of Prof.

Other Thoughts: Stopped playing till Blizzard pulls their head out of sand. They truly think that they did a favor for gamers to nerf certain things. Ill play MUD games before I play pandas again.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The expansion itself is okay.

Newegg has very fast shipping, and I got this item at a huge discount while they were having a sale.

Cons: The fun in this expansion dies out very quickly. I had fun for months with Cataclysm, but not with Mists.

This product was shipped in a padded envelope, while I would've preferred a box, and so the game's box was quite crushed by the time I received it.
