The eternal battle between Humans and Orcs just got more complicated in the sequel to the critically acclaimed Warcraft 2. In the real-time-strategy game Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos for PC, a new enemy called the Undead Scourge invades the already battle-weary world of Azeroth, threatening the existence of Humans, Orcs, and their distrusting neighbors, the Night Elves. Can these three long-term enemies put their differences aside to defeat the evil Undead Scourge? Or will they destroy each other first?
Players play as all four races- The Human Alliance, The Orcish Horde, The Night Elves, and the Undead Scourge. Each race's story is told in the form of a campaign, composed of about 10 levels. Players who finish each campaign move to the next race until all four campaigns are completed. Players who desire a challenge may try multiplayer mode, provided by Blizzard's free Battle.net service.
The Warcraft 3 Battle Chest is a real treasure, containing Reign of Chaos, The Frozen Throne expansion pack, and the official Brady Guides for both games. It's a must-have for Warcraft and RTS fans alike.

- Pros: Been playing with a friend's CDkey for awhile. Finally decided to get my own CDkey and Newegg had the cheapest price anywhere and seems reasonable. This is a very good and fun game. Requires a good amount of thinking and strategizing. It's more fun than playing "real" RTS games like Age of Empires III, that's for sure. Get some of your friends to play this too if you haven't already, it's more fun that way.
- Cons: Most of the people you (will) meet on bnet, the server which you play on, are @$$holes. Don't mind their immature comments, especially the sore losers and winners.
- Other Thoughts: Don't be discourage if you don't win any games when you start on bnet. You have to lose to win, it's a fact of life. After getting used to it, you'll own.

- Pros: the cool thing about warcraft 3 if there are a lot of custom made games, like line wars, tower defenses, WoW maps, everything else you could create, and my favorite, DotA. i used to play normal games a lot, but now i play the customs, cuz thats what my friends like. custom games are great for LANs too.
- Cons: i get pretty bored of it... but only for short periods of time.

- Pros: Warcraft 3 is the most strategic RTS i have ever played. I have heard that "it practically invented micromanagement" and its true. After 5 years, there is still a very active gamer community that has taken the video game to a chess-like level of complexity. will run on any system around today
- Cons: old. 2D graphics. you will get owned on battle.net more than enough times to make you consider giving up gaming

- Pros: Awesome and fun RTS game. Free online Play. Runs on almost any computer made within the last decade. The integrated graphics on my motherboard can handle this game at full resolution maxed! Nice multiplayer support. Plenty of customizations allowing you to make your own game, or play some other games different from the actual RTS style. DOTA is the best thing that ever happened to this game.
- Cons: Not a con of the game, but the community. Some of the players on this game have terrible gaming ethics and say some of stupidest things, if you cannot tolerate ignorant remarks, this may not be the game for you. Not everyone is bad, but there a lot of immature people on this game. Hosting custom games require you to forward some ports on a router, maybe worth noting. I played this game for years on dialup with no lag, people however will boot you in custom games if you have a ping > 100...
DotA requires your full attention for a good game...bad thing or good thing?
- Other Thoughts: Of all the games I own...which some might include popular titles like oblivion, fallout3, mass effect, assassin's creed, guild wars, tiger woods golf, scarface, fear, bioshock, ut2004, stalker, grid, L4D, COD4&5, etc...DotA tops em all in my personal opinion. The endless replay value, and the hope for a good game is everlasting. Ironic because in my gaming machine, this requires the least requirements, but gets most of the attention. It is very strategic and, for me, very entertaining.
None of my friends play computer games so...I dont use the friends list. The RTS of this game is decent, but the customizations really make it shine.
People hear you say DotA...nobody knows
People hear you say Warcraft 3...everyone thinks World of Warcraft
