From the very tiniest forms of life to the intergalactic level of existence, you are in control of life itself in this simulation game by Will Wright. Beginning in the primordial ooze, players create a character from DNA that will grow, survive, and mate as it evolves from a single-celled organism to a fully-formed member of an establishing species. As more and more creatures inhabit the world, and as evolution forms the future, your species will join herds, clans, even civilizations. The more advanced the creatures of the planet grow, the more complex the strife of survival becomes. And while the player can continue gameplay in Spore at any level -- playing as a cell, as a wild creature, or as a civilized and organized society – players can also step even further out and play the game from the planetary or interstellar level, while also going online to connect worlds with other gamers.

DRM Makes it a no no
- Pros: Purdy colors? Creating the creatures engages your creative side.
- Cons: The DRM on this game is atrocious, and only punishes the legitimate purchaser. You only get to install the game 3, yes 3 times. If you run out of installs, you then have to come blubbering and pleading EA to let you have more. It's an insult to an honest, paying customer like myself. The only way I really think I can get my point across is with my wallet. No more EA games for me.
- Other Thoughts: Don't buy it, it's a waste of time and money.
Named the left 1 "E", right 1 "A"
- Pros: Great concept, lots of fun.
- Cons: I will not buy games with DRM any longer. I have well over $7000 invested in my PC hardware AND software..so I am not scared to spend $. What I am scared of is 20% or better of my 45+ games being stolen from me when I upgrade hardware, which happens every 2 weeks to 2 months like clockwork. My windows is genuine, as are all my games...and I am genuinely disgruntled about this.
- Other Thoughts: Let them know how you feel about fifty dollar rentals now, or we will be stuck with this forever.

- Pros: Very creative game. Cell, Creature, and Space stages are very fun and unusual. The graphics are decent, and the game runs surprisingly smooth (better than some games that I have that are much older). The various creators are excellent.
- Cons: The Tribal and Civilization stages seemed more like chores and filler material than actual gameplay. The game gets old after a time.
- Other Thoughts: I can understand why the DRM would be a problem to some, but I personally have had no problems so far (I've only installed it on one computer).
Unleash your creative side... just don't expect to use your thinker.
- Pros: *Very appealing graphics, not cutting edge or anything, but very appealing
*Dizzying amount of things you can create *Cell, Creature, and Space stages are all a LOT of fun to play *Very stable and bug free
- Cons: *Tribal and Civ stages, quite frankly, suck as there's simply NO depth to it
*Cell, Creature, and Space stages, while a lot of fun, are still very shallow
- Other Thoughts: I only have two cons above but seeing as they relate to a third or more of the game, they're pretty big. It's a fun but shallow game and I recommend it to most people for fun but you won't use your brain much while playing. Now on to DRM. From my understanding, it only limits you to 3 SIMULTANEOUS installations and NOT 3 TOTAL installations. Now I'm not sure how hardware upgrades affect it but just to be on the safe side, I guess you could uninstall it before making said upgrades. A hassle, yes, but not game-breaking. I have yet to have any problem whatsoever with any form of DRM in any game so I can't really put it down as a con. I'll admit, I've done some pirating a while ago but have since ceased ALL forms of piracy after seeing just what it was doing to the PC platform so I guess in a way I sort of feel like I'm getting my just deserved with DRM... but that's just my two little cents.
DRM punished me
- Pros: Great game, wish each stage was longer.
- Cons: Someone had stolen my key with a keygen before i installed so i had to spend two weeks with EA support getting a new key. All because I didn't steal the game.
- Other Thoughts: I am a Will Wright fan, this is a fun game even if the DRM is painful. I only fear that galactic adventures will make it like WoW.
