Great buy
- Pros: The episodes are extremely fun and add on to the epic storyline of the Half-Life series. For $10 bucks these are undoubtedly worth it. Also if you manage to lose the discs, if you registered the CD-Key with Steam you can redownload it for free. Also it's tied to your account so you can bring your games practically anywhere where there is an internet connection and a PC to actually play the games.
- Cons: EP1 wasn't too great.
You can't play these offline, and steam's offline mode requires you to connect to the internet for a short bit. Pretty stupid to have an offline mode that still requires an internet connection to work.
- Other Thoughts: Totally worth the cash, the gameplay is fantastic, a must buy for any Half-Life fan wishing to continue the story line.
- Pros: Two excellent games at an excellent price. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better deal. Also, if for some reason you lose the disc(s?) you can re-download the games from Steam whenever you want, completely for free.
- Cons: Episode 1 isn't quite as good as the original HL2 or Episode 2, but is still a fine game.
Steamed At STEAM
- Pros: Do know of any. STEAM fails to update and the game can't load. No product support no tech support other than their insisting that your Anti Virus and Anti Spy Ware are interfering with their program... they suggest you uninstall all the offending software and not reinstall it...
- Cons: STEAM need I say more...no support, no support , no suppport
- Other Thoughts: STEAM recognizes that they have problems with software and some hardware and does nothing to improve their end making using their not only difficult but ugly
