Post-Apocalyptic Fun and More
- Pros: You know there is a lot of things to be depressed about when looking into a nuclear scorched earth, but this game makes you laugh all the same. The Post-Apocalyptic scenary, the goofy 1940 - 1950's world kinda clashed with what they thought Sci-Fi would be at the turn of the century just was a thrill ride. A lot of Downloadable Content will drive you up the wall as far as fun and comic goes. One specific Mothership Zeta kept me chuckling from getting on to getting off.
- Cons: None. Game works extremely well and has plenty of replayability.
- Other Thoughts: When's a Fallout IV coming out?
i did not like it
- Pros: good cinematic sequences. good storyline.
- Cons: unsatisfying shooter mechanics
- Other Thoughts: if you like rpgs then this game may be for you. however, this is nowhere near crysis. the developers may bill this game as an rpg with elements of a shooter however the shooter aspects of this game is rather disappointing compared to crysis.
Fallout 3
- Pros: Once you get into the story, Fallout 3 can be very enjoyable. I owned the game for a long time before really getting into it. Now I can't stop playing and mainly for three reasons: 1.) The story is very engaging (once you get past all the early level stuff), 2.) The reward system is great and can keep a player very interested in moving forward, (hint: choosing to be good can be very helpful) 3.) VATS system never gets old (the animations and graphics behind it are awesome) It's a treat to watch and execute. Sound is excellent by the way.
- Cons: These are not really cons, but a few things annoy me. The game can be a little buggy. I've had it crash on me a few times and I consider my system a flawless build, always up to date, tweaked for games and only used for gaming. It is very long, especially if you play all the expansions. I do not plan to go through the expansions because there are several other games in my library waiting for me.
- Other Thoughts: Get through all the early level stuff as quick as possible. And I highly recommend using a guide, especially at the beginning. Navigating through the post apacolyptic Washington DC is quite a challenge. Many paths are not straight and require a lot of exploring before finding the desired locations.
