5 out of 5 eggsGood Price

Pros: This is a very fun game well worth the price you get special powers that you can upgrade. There are alot of puzzles on how to get around and fine certain things keeps you guessing on how to do somethings.

Cons: It does have steam to run but i have it in 3 computers and have no problems.

Other Thoughts: It needs 4 gig ram but my 4850 and 9800gt+ run it fine on 1600 ultra. It has the same graphics as newer half life could call it half life 3. I've been playing for 10 hours taking my time and i'm at the end. Great Game for the Price get it you will like it.

4 out of 5 eggsEnjoyable game

Pros: I find this game to be very interesting and I like the way the game is written. You can play the game in high chaos where you kill everything that moves or try and not kill anyone or anything in between. How you choose to play affects game play as well as the ending. Another Pro is that the developers have released a couple of extra content packs and are not over charging for them and have them priced at 10 dollars.
Another Pro for me it that it requires Steam, the reason this is a pro is if you have a fast internet connection you do not even have to take the disk out of its sleeve, just register the S/N on Steam and download it. I like using Steam because I never have to ever worry about game updates and patches as Steam takes care of that for you. Also all the games that have downloadable content that is released is easily purchase from Steam and is automatically added to the game. Also if you are patient and do not compelled to pre order games or buy games on release day, just wait a few months and the games that are just okay are always on sale on Steam at substantial savings.

Cons: The main game is rather short and could have been longer. I would have been very upset had I bought the game when it first came out and paid 59.99 for it but I bought mine here on Newegg back in April when it was on sale for 19.99. So for 20 bucks the game is okay. Another thing that may be a con for some is it requires you to install and run Steam in order to play. For me this was not an issue as I already had 150 different games in my Steam library already.

Other Thoughts: You might like to know that I am an older gamer, recently turned 60. I became an avid gamer when I was forced to go on an early retirement due to medical issues. I suppose that my attitude towards games is affected by my age. I hate publishers, like EA and Ubsoft who in my opinion are only out to shaft their customers by way over hyping their games and pricing them way too high. I personally have a boycott against these two companies for this reason as well as their increasing use of draconian DRM that does nothing to curb piracy but does nothing but upset their customers. I will not ever purchase anything that either of these companies produce! And I do not care if it winds up being rated the best game of the year. I have pretty much given up on PC gaming, I do not plan on buying anything new and especially do not plan on upgrading my video cards just to be able to play the newer titles on high settings. I was considering buying one of the new Nvidia GeForce 770's that sell around 333 here on Newegg or a 780 for twice that price but instead have decided to shift my gaming to a new PS4 when it arrives around November 15.

5 out of 5 eggsOne of if not the best game I have ever played

Pros: Great graphics, the game flows very well, easy to get used to everything in the game that lets you use abilities. The Story line is excellent and draws in into the complexities of each character. There are now 2 expansion packs with more to come.

Cons: It came to an end

Other Thoughts: I have severe ADD/ADHD and I normally bop from game to game never able to finish a game before going to others, but with this game I was able to sit down and concentrate on this one game and play it all the way through. That does not happen often with me.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent Game

Pros: The only time I order from Newegg is when they send out those promotions where they take ~15% off pre-orders and I see a game that I am absolutely interested in. Dishonored came in just a few days I got it for around ~$45.

As for the game, I loved it. A lot of people compare the gameplay to Bioshock, and I would say that they are right. The powers you develop can be used in some quite interesting ways. If you want a real challenge, try going through levels without using Blink.

Cons: The only con I had in this game is the atmosphere. Most of the time it's really dark and gray. There are a couple of levels where the design team really showed their true colors. But, I suppose dark and gray is a fit setting for a plague infested city.

Other Thoughts: New egg comes thorugh with their promotional offers yet again.

5 out of 5 eggsTruly Fun

Pros: Challenging without having to remember 100's of things
Good Story
Good Voice acting

Cons: Models not great.

Other Thoughts: This is a fun game. The Unreal engine looks good enough. The developers decision against graphics that are bleeding, cutting was a good idea. Very few people have the Supa Dupa Ultra Deluxo graphics card to play demanding games which so many companies think to be an essential part of their offerings. It seems to me the developer decided against that in favor of game play development and it is a great idea. I have a 6870 and the card didn't even sweat playing this game at max.

Yes the graphics could have been pumped up but in doing so the
market for the game may have decreased. There are many guys with older cards that can play and have fun with this game.

Some say the game is short.....shorter than what? Games are this long these days. It took me about 6 weeks to finish this game. If you sit down and and play it as fast as you can then your game experience will not only be short but limited. Get it? I don't play for hours at a time cause I have other life interests fortunately.

In conclusion: At this price($29) if you have been debating the purchase now is the time. I think you will have fun and I recommend this game without reservation

5 out of 5 eggsVery Enjoyable

Pros: Great game. can play with a variety of difficulty settings. If you love a game that you can sneak around and hide and plot then you should like this game. Has a touch of creapiness as in Bioshock. Missions let you highlight the objective or hide it to make it very difficult if you want. There are basically autosave checkpoints but you can save anywhere you want which I like

Cons: Kind of short (maybe 15 hrs)unless you investigate everything and try to find all the bonus stuff(runes, coins, etc.)

Other Thoughts: If you like skyrim with the bow and arrow and sneaking around and sniping then you should enjoy this like I do. You will want to replay more than once. Many different ways to complete missions. Semi-open world within each mission

5 out of 5 eggsWonderfull game

Pros: Fun, very hard is just that, can play with different styles through the game, progressive upgrades to skills, can be creative in killing. I got it half off so it is 10 stars really, shrugs.

Cons: Cant make a good cup of tea to save its life!

Other Thoughts: Get it if you want a fun challenging game, don't get it if you want some tea this game sucks at making tea....

5 out of 5 eggsGreat game

Pros: Supernatural powers is quite fun, especially in a first-person game
Nice graphics
Interesting if not predictable plot
Although short campaign, the maps themselves actually change based on "chaos" level (body count), so you can usually do at least 2 different playthroughs
Certain maps there are tons of ways to play and randomized content sometimes. I've played several missons like 6 times each and every time it is slightly different.
Always discovering new ways to beat each level - alleys, legdes, rat tunnels, even possessing a fish

Cons: Short campaign
High chaos ending made me sad - not sure if con, since it made my future self (next playthrough) a better person

Other Thoughts: Anyways, besides the short campaign there are no real cons, and there is an incredible replay value, so thats not even worth taking an egg off for

Very highly recommended game, so far my favorite this year
