Grand Theft Auto V + Great White Shark Card [Online Game Code] GTA V & Megalodon Shark Card Bundle [Online Game Code] GTA V & Whale Shark Card Bundle [Online Game Code]
This review is from: Grand Theft Auto V [PC Download]
Pros: It works as advertised although Steam version would have been better, it runs pretty well on my setup (see other thoughts). I got it for $35 on Black Friday.
Cons: None.. even if there was a problem it wouldn't be with newegg. I got what I paid for (game key).
Other Thoughts: When playing GTA V I don't use crossfire, I usually just run it with one card on High & Ultra settings @ 1440P. As I said above it runs pretty well on my current setup: i7-4770K @ 4.4GHz w/ Corsair H105 ASUS Z97 Maximus VII Hero CFX X2 Radeon R9 290's 16GB Crucial Sport XT @ 1866mhz 240GB SSD Crucial M500 Creative Sound Blaster Z EVGA SuperNova 1300 G2
BTW: I have tested GTA V on Windows 7 Pro - 64 bit as well as Windows 10 Pro - 64 bit and it works great on both OS.

Pros: None.
Cons: Install process doesn't work. Specifically, I get error code 203 and other PC users get this or other error codes. It starts to download the big 60GB file, and then disconnects over and over until it gives you the error code. This is a well-known problem with no reliable solution, and Rockstar gives no customer support. There's no return available either; I frankly don't know how this is legal. I smell a class action lawsuit against Rockstar. Accepting money for downloadable games when so many people are unable to play, and not fixing the issues or even providing customer support. I don't know how a company can do this and get away with it in this day and age.

Pros: -Fun -Well Optimized -Awesome graphics
Cons: -3 hours for 62 GB download! -Hackers are still running wild online
Other Thoughts: Let me start off by saying I am by no means a "Tech Wiz", or a "Hardcore Gamer" so take this review with a pinch of salt and take it for what it's worth.
I was a bit skeptic of buying this game on Newegg because some of the reviews had stated that some people had problems with their downloads. Some people had also stated on other sites that it's better to just buy it off of Steam, and to be honest I don't know what the difference is, gameplay wise, between getting it on Newegg and getting it on Steam (besides the achievements you get on Steam). But anyways, as a cheapskate, there was no way I was turning down a promo code on top of a discount ( $33.99 at the time of purchase). So I decided to take a chance and purchased the game. A few minutes later I get the email from Newegg with the activation code, went online to activate it, and I was able to start the download right away without any problems! I don't know maybe, I just got lucky?
Well after the super long wait of the 62 GB for the game (3 Hours!), I started the game and everything was as smooth as butter! I don't have the best gaming rig out there, mind you. But this game is just very well optimized, from my experience anyways, I just left the settings on default so it has some settings on Normal, High and Very High and I'm able to maintain between 47-55 fps in the city and a solid 60 fps (V-Sync enabled to prevent screen tear) in the country and other areas! I'm sure if I was to tweak some settings I would get some better fps in the cities but ehh, I'm happy with what I'm getting already. Slapping a "money making woman on a corner" has never looked so beautiful.
I guess if I had to say something "negative" about this game, it's that the stinkin download time was 3 hours long!...3 ....hours. And the fact that there are hackers on Online mode. But, that is not Newegg's fault, it's Rockstar's. I'm completely satisfied with my business with Newegg and the reason I wanted to write this review is because I wanted to let other's, that are kind of skeptical about buying this game because of the ratings and some of the other reviews, know that this was not the case with me. It sucks to see that others had problems with their download and I hope they got it resolved but my experience was the complete opposite. I see that this promo is good until tomorrow, so if you are trying to decide whether or not you should get it, I say "For $33.99 Heck Yes You Should!" ...or you could wait for the Steam sales coming up soon, might be cheaper. I'm a cheapskate but not a patient one Lol.Happy gaming!
My PC Specs FX 6300 3.5 Ghz (stock) Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 MSI R9 270 2G (OC'd to 1050 Mhz and Mem 1500 Mhz) 8 GB G-Skill RAM Cooler Master Elite 310 Mid Tower EVGA 600B Bromze PSU and just a rinky dink mouse and keyboard... I know.

Pros: NONE
Cons: will not install on a computer that is beyond the maxium reqiurements unable to load or play it.
Other Thoughts: This is not Neweggs fault that Rockstar make trash for installers for their games. I got this last night and installed this morning and got incomplete install Error 9. I followed all support for this issue and still can use it. I wanted to get my money back but Newegg will not allow me to request a refund. Unfortanly this will cause the end to my relationship with Newegg since do no allow refunds for DLC games. So for your help do not buy the DLC verison get the Disk verison.

Pros: If you enjoy previous GTA titles you'll probably enjoy this one if it will work on your PC.
Cons: When using a laptop with Nvidia Optimus this game will not utilize the Nvidia GPU, only the Integrated Graphics. None of the other games I play have this issue. Rockstar support has been completely useless. Not a single support rep appears to understand the issue much less resolve it.
The Rockstar Social Club sign in / connection requirement just to play the story mode of the game is also quite frustrating. I don't see myself purchasing any Rockstar products in the future.

Pros: Great game that came as a free gift with a Sapphire R9 290x at the time of purchase! When I was able to start the download it was fast, and ran at expected speeds for my internet provider.
Cons: Dinged one star because the day I received the access code, May 13th 2015, I was a unable to initiate the DL through Rockstars Social Club. I was able to enter product code but when attempting to download received an error "URL not found." The problem was resolved the following day. Large DL 60gig+.

Pros: Got $10 gift card of this. It turns out this is a standalone version, but as a software developer and according to what I have heard, there are little differences between this standalone and Steam version.
After few patches, it works great on my system. Such a Magnificent game from software engineering point of view.
Cons: Needs video card driver and few patches before run smoothly.

Pros: + Great Graphics + Fun Story (Purportedly) + Extensive PC Ported Options + Fun Online Gameplay
Cons: - Poor Regular PC Download - Poor Customer Support - 60GB download - Lack of file integrity check tool
Other Thoughts: Let me explain some of the points I made.
First and foremost, look at the DRM options if looking to buy it as a digital copy. Case in point, I bought this looking to get the $10 promo gift card, and thought I'd be getting a Steam activate-able copy. I was wrong in that regard, as Rockstar made it two separate licenses, and they are not activate-able for either platform. If you want Steam, you better make sure they state Steam as the DRM type, or simpler, just buy it off Steam. I recalled buying it before with no indication that there were different digital copy version, and I'm now dealing with trying to see if I can get rid of my PC download so I can get the Steam version.
I have several buddies that bought it on Steam, and it looks like a blast, however I can't seem to be able to enjoy that fun as well. GTA V has been plaguing me with all sort of crashes in the first tutorial area with the doors blowing up, along with no feasible option to make it as non-Steam option, as it'll not start at all if added as a shortcut on Steam. I can't play it, to say it simply. I can start it up, but I can't play it. And my PC is all new, exceeds the recommended specs, and all my drivers are up to date and every other game I have works just dandy. Just not GTA V.
I figured what the hell, I'd try Rockstar support to see if they can change my license type, but it looks like they are for whatever reason unable to. They can't even revoke/ invalidate the license key/ remove it from my account. I don't even care if I lose out on the license that I bought already. I am not even sure I can properly move to Steam as I don't know how that will jive with the Steam and PC license on the same account. So I'm not tempted to try and purchase the Steam version without some clarification or help from Rockstar.
I'm not looking to re-download another 60GB just to try reinstalling the entire game, and I like how Steam has a file integrity check built in their framework to help reduce how much you need to download, but plain GTAV doesn't have any sort of utility in the GTA V launcher to do so.
So in short,m if you are fine with Steam, and want to be able to utilize their features, like your friend list, chat, game play tracking, and streaming and support, then avoid buying if it doesn't say Steam download. Don't be tempted by a $10 promo gift card, otherwise you'll have a GTA v PC download license that will be a curse upon your Rockstar Social Club account that apparently can even be removed by the very people who developed/published it and manage it's license management.
This has proven to be an ordeal, and in the end, I wanted to just have a Steam version, but I'm beginning to think I'd rather not have it at all.
