Shaun White Snowboarding PC Game UBISOFT

Pros: Awesome game for such a great price! Love that it is an "open world" mountain top. Meaning one can get off their board and climb back up the mountain to go down a certain spot if they want. Or take the ski lifts back up and go down again. Just a great snowboarding game!

Pros: SHAWN WHITE IS AMAZING AND HE WON THE WINTER OLYMPICS HALFPIPE!!! THIS GREAT DEFINES IT TO ANOTHER LEVEL. AWESOME GRAPHICS IF YOU HAVE A DECENT PC TO SUPPORT IT.

Cons: GRAPHICS ARE A BIT OUTDATED. BUT WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM A GAME THIS OLD.

Other Thoughts: BUDGET LEVEL GAME FOR GAMERS TO BUY. FUN FOR ANY SNOWBOARDER.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: WARNING: Does not work with i7 Core processors! The game will crash on start up every time on machines with hyperthreading. This has been on Ubisoft boards for over a year with no patch has fixed it. The only work around I've found is to turn off hyperthreading in your BIOS and I don't feel like virtually cutting my processor in half.

Other Thoughts: I feel as though I haven't given the game a fair shake since it won't open on my currently available PCs, but it's been a known issue for too long with no response from the publisher for me to hope for it to be resolved. I'm just happy I only wasted 3.99

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Difficult to control. Lame sound track. Much better use of my time than playing this game

Other Thoughts: To be fair, I am comparing this agains SSX3. SSX3 (xbox) was so much better of a game and it came out in '03. You think the developers would study the game and improve aspects of graphics and game play since then but I guess not.

Pros: Cheap price, and fast shipping.

Very open maps with lots of terrain.

Good music soundtracks.

Cons: Graphics leave a little to be desired. You cannot set aspect of graphics. You have low medium and high, and no other settings.

Other Thoughts: Love being able to pretend I am snowboarding while sitting in Florida with *80 weather outside.

Pros: Never really looked into this game, but just saw it on sale for 3.99 and figured why not just buy it lol.

Cons: none at this price

Pros: Fun to play. Lots of cool tricks. Seemingly endless gameplay. And, dang, for $7 whats not to like?

Cons: it wasn' free?

Cons: it doesn't work well with 64 bit,but if you run it as administator than it works.

Cons: Hard to get used to. Game flow is weird. Learning curve to controls.

Other Thoughts: There is an UPDATE that you HAVE to download and install to make it work on VISTA. You can download it on g@mesp0t, g00gle it, or whatever. There is no need to disable hyperthreading and all of that. I have Vista 64 and after the update it works fine.

Pros: I posted less than a week ago that I have never been able to get this game to work on 64-bit Vista, even in XP compatibility mode. Finally, after many fruitless searches and help requests to Ubisoft, someone posted on a forum I use and suggested I try turning off HT (hyper-threading) in the BIOS. It worked!!!! Means I run on 4 cores instead of 8, and so I have to reboot and switch HT back on after, but at least there is a solution!!!

Having that solution, I found the game awesome. With two GTX 285 SSC's running in SLI, the graphics are crisp and smooth. Controls take some getting used to, and I strongly recommend a gamepad for this game, but by all means, buy it and shred.. great fun!

Cons: Ubisoft support were no help at all.
