Pros: A very fun and engrossing RPG that allows in depth exploration of the Star Wars universe in a way few other games have ever allowed. Provides a very compelling prequel experience thousands of years before the Star Wars films occur. Huge range of weapons, equipment and skills to explore and learn which can make each game a unique experience.

Cons: Lots and lots of reading which at times makes you feel like you are living a book instead of playing a game (not necessarily a true "con" in my opinion, but if you are looking for a first person shooter type of game this isn't it). Choices open or close certain outcomes and are irrevocable meaning something you wanted to do (or not do) can become a locked in event whether you want it or not. Game occasionally requires you to do something mundane like kill rats or play card games to earn enough skill, money or whatever to advance.

Other Thoughts: If you like adventure games and Star Wars this is your game. The game is a typical role playing game where you are the main character and you explore and build your character as the main story advances with you. You are allowed freedom of movement to an extent and choose your actions which open or close additional experiences to an extent. These choices also effect a number of personality and skill trees allowing you access to (or denial from) certain skills. Overall a very fun game which you could play repeatedly in different ways and have different experiences each time.

Pros: Ok first off, the previous Anonymous review is talking about the newer star wars MMO "The Old Republic".

This game is actually a much older title called Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. KOTOR.

This game, KOTOR is a great action RPG, especially if you like the idea of leveling up and developing a Jedi/Sith character and getting to fit with light sabers and whatnot. The graphics won't win any prizes now, but it is quite fun. When on sale, this costs about as much as a cup of starbucks coffee, and is totally worth it if you like the single player action RPG genre. There's an element of ethics/morality in the game, so you can make decisions/take actions that will align you to either the dark side or light side of the force, each with corresponding benefits based on equipment or force powers you chose you develop/level up.

Cons: graphics are a little out dated, but this game is over 10 years old.

Other Thoughts: My experience with this game was on the original xbox console, so I can't speak to how it'll play on a PC/Mac.

Pros: fun game I really like the free to play option . I bought this game almost a year ago and started playing again with no monthly fees needed granted you gain a lot if you do pay but its not necessarily needed to have fun with game. I played almost 60$ so for this price its a steal.

Cons: not many now accept I with the full version was available for free but I can understand.
