Purple Paper 3/31/2010 9:56:09 AM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 2/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 5/5 Pros: I got this to burn CDs and DVDs and its ability to burn to multiple burners at the same time has already saved me a lot of time. If you often author discs for clients or to give to friends and family, this is a big plus. Didn't have any installation problems so all in all, for my needs, I'm quite happy with NTI Media Maker. Cons: The novelty of that spinning disc wears off quickly. I wish I could disable that. Other Thoughts: Some of the apps included like the sound editor and video maker seem a bit too basic for my needs. I guess they're convenient to have around so maybe they'll come in handy one day. Cons: If you try to use the mp3 ripper you will get an error message saying you must have Windows Media Player 11 or newer installed. This is NOT mentioned in the Sys Reqs. I encountered another 'missing dll' error, but I can't remember which utility I was trying to launch. Running Windows XP w/SP2. This should work. XP has been around for TEN years! Other Thoughts: This 'suite' COULD have been a decent package with a little more effort, but as is, it fails. Now add the other reviewer's note about registry cleaners and this thing REALLY blows. N/A 3/2/2010 4:42:53 PM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 2/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 1/5Difficult to Install Pros: Cheap if it was easy to install and keep running. Cons: Won't install properly if you use a Registry cleaner. A Reg cleaner will delete the NTI keys and you will have to reinstall it, and will not be able to use your Reg cleaner again. Here is the actual reply I got back from NTI tech support: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Customer, If you have a registry cleaner installed on your computer, it will delete the registry for NTI. You need to uninstall the NTI software and run your registry cleaner, then reboot your computer, install the NTI software again and then run your registry cleaner telling it NOT to delete any registry found for NTI.
