Pros: It's great software and a great tool if you are in the business that needs this. I am which is why I purchased it along with taking advantage of the $300 rebate which I did receive. I have taken a class on the full AutoCAD 2010 at a local college ( couldn't afford the full version so went with LT); the college instructor told me they didn't have issues with the Ed Version running on XP. And, I didn't hear anyone in the class having a hard time with it.
Cons: Can't think of one. Yes, It's AutoCAD and yes it can be expensive; But, they did ALL the work and they expect that if you buy it you are going to make some $$$$'s with it.
Other Thoughts: I am looking for a new desk top just for this software - I kind of like the iBuyPower rigs but not sure; CAD needs RAM and graphics....I just hope that I buy the best cost PC that this will run on.
Before you buy the software, I highly suggest you take an entry level or beginners class in Drafting and / or AutoCAD at a college near you.

Rating: 4/5its not Win 7 64Bit
Pros: Intuitive design with Ribbon interface. Get used to it and start to know it it makes sense once you get used to it.
Cons: Its AutoCAD and its expensive (lol).
Other Thoughts: AS far as performance issues with Win 7 64Bit, no issues and runs like a champ except with Dynamic input, adjust your tooltip transperency settings to 2% or more, having at zero causes performance issues, we noticed this in XP so its not Win 7 64bit related. We are running most our machines in Win XP as there's an issues with importing to Impression 3,till they get that fixed we wont run Win7

Rating: 2/5Not ready for Windows 7 - 64 bit
Pros: It's interface is spiffy and new.
Cons: There are a number of posts all over the web dealing with video issues when running this program on a Windows 7 64 bit computer. The most common is slow and choppy mouse movement in any Dynamic mode. Autodesk's policy is that all problems are driver issues. In a way they may be right: their program does not run correctly using the current video drivers for W7 64 bit for most high end video cards. This is just a warning. I am running a nVidia GTX260 video card which is not listed in Autodesk's " tested" list. The "lowest card they have tested is a GTX280 and it is not recommended. The only cards they recommend for Autocad Lt 2010 are Quadro cards.
Other Thoughts: Autodesk free support is the worst I have experienced. Their forum is almost abusive. The message is clear: you want support or tips, you must pay for it.
