Don't buy if you can help it.
- Pros: Had no trouble installing by correct download method. Does help image organization of scanned items and pdf's.
- Cons: Just runs slow. Ten seconds to open program. Thumbnails render slowly on a fairly powerful office computer (dual core, 2 gigs, ati 800gto). Point is, not an upgrade to even Pro 8 imho except for pdf support. Also, some pdf's created in PP will not open in other pdf software. Great fun.
- Other Thoughts: I was basically forced to buy this for vista because I have thousands of .max type files to deal with. Avoid it if you have a choice.

- Pros: It installs pretty easy on Vista. Buy Paperport 11, either download or disc. Don’t install yet! With your serial number go to Nuance web site and register your product. Download v11.1 for Vista, you will need that serial number for this. In Vista- run/ msconfig- Services/ disable all, Startup/ disable all- restart. Install Paperport, then- run/ msconfig- Services/ enable all, Startup/ enable all- restart. And you’re done, if you get a Microsoft shield on top of your Paperport desktop shortcut icon- delete that icon and create a new one from your program list.
