5 out of 5 eggsAn excellent PC game

Pros: As far as sandbox GTA-style games go, Saints Row 2 is everything that GTA IV should have been, and more. You can't beat this game, especially at this price.

Also, this game can be registered with Steam as well.

Cons: None!

4 out of 5 eggsUnderrated Game

Pros: Excellent story. It doesn't take itself too seriously and all the actors are over-the-top, tongue in cheek, 1 dimensional parodies of their respective stereotypes.

Quality voice acting.

Memorable character interactions

Fun and varied side missions

Cons: As others have mentioned, this is a Steam based game. Since I already have a Steam account, it doesn't bother me much.

Poor vehicle and vehicle camera control.

Obvious console port. Menu tabs are navigated by shift and ctrl. Weapons selection via button click and move of cursor. Mini-games with dual joystick control graphics.

Jerky frame-rates. Combined with poor vehicle control tend to give me slight motion sickness =(

Other Thoughts: I need to reinstall fraps to check frame-rates and have yet to really tweak graphic settings (too busy trying to get playing =D) but it's not smooth on 2xAA,4xAF,1680x1050. System is Athlon II 620, 4GB, HD5770, Win7 x64 HomePre, which is a decent mid-range build. Gonna try and see if I can map my PS3 controller, since this is such an obvious port.

The DVD case was cracked when I received it =/

Excellent game for the price if you're a fan of the sandbox, city-roaming, 3rd person shooter. An awesome game, as evidenced by high rating despite my list of cons.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage

Pros: Fast shipping.
Nice plastic dvd case.

Cons: Very poor port of this title. I can run Crysis maxed out with better FPS than this garbage. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this. Don't even accept it for free.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Value, Great Service

Pros: Runs Smoothly on my Dual Core, fun Game play...great change of pace from the GTA Series, Story keeps you wanting more action!

Cons: Steam not the biggest fan of this software. Otherwise the game has bugs, and the occasional restart needed!

Other Thoughts: Still a good value for the price and long lasting game appeal should keep you glued to the Computer!

5 out of 5 eggsLaggy Fun

Pros: Great game, I played it over several times. The minigames keep me interested, and the customizations are endless!

Although driving is very, very.... VERY bad, I got used to tapping the turns. It does, however, allow me to ram the car next to me like a madman.

I just find this game funny and very enjoyable, but very little to say what's good about it....

Cons: Although lag is an issue, I'm used to playing laggy games. After a while of odd experimentation, turning off dynamic shadows will greatly improve my FPS, but it makes the game look horrific. That settling alone set to 'simple' helps quite a bit.

AI is... interesting. The enemies can aim like snipers, but your allies can't aim for their lives!

Approaching enemy vehicles will drive 2 feet in front of you, then get out and attack you. Too close to RPG to death.

Odd behavior when handling any vehicle.

Other Thoughts: Game? Good.

Performance? Terrible.

Enjoyment? Excellent.

Dual-Core + 9800GT(SLi)? 15-20FPS.

Overclocking didn't help.

2 out of 5 eggsGame is problems serious

Pros: A fantastical open world...funny...unbridled violence...does not crash my computer.

Cons: Horrible performance on my half decent machine being an AMD Dual Core@2.8, 8800gts 320 sli
No sli support
very bad stuttering when driving (Reported by many users).
Aside from the stuttering issue, the driving feel is very poor even with windows xbox gamepad

Other Thoughts: The recent patch offers better frames but the stuttering when driving is still there. The graphics, while not nearly as detailed as gta4, still convey an interesting world. If the developer/publisher continues to patch the game then I say buy but you need a powerful machine.

1 out of 5 eggsNOT HAPPY

Pros: It was fun for 10 minutes.

Cons: It wasn't fun after 10 minutes.

Other Thoughts: I usually like these kind of games but this one had too much unecessary options and having to drive to every mission just kills the thrill.

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: New Egg shipped promply.

Cons: Disappointed, incomplete description fails to mention that you need to subscribe to VALVE or STEAM in order to install and use this software.

Other Thoughts: I do not appreciate purchasing a product and upon installing the product being notified that I will now have to install some so called service in order to install the product. Nowhere in the product description was this requirement mentioned. This so called service demands that I lower my PC security settings and give it permission to access my Internet connection anytime it wants. This so called service is called VALVE or Steam or some such and definitely should be listed as a requirement in the product description . I depend on New Egg to accurately describe the products it retails so that I do not run into situations that hide outrages requirements like VALVE or STEAM when you try to install the product.
