1 out of 5 eggssteam blows, its nothing like predecessor

Pros: none

Cons: steam slows everything down. this game is nothing like warhammer 40,000, which is an awesome game...

Other Thoughts: all steam games should be required to have the fact they are 'steam' games made prominent

this game has squads of soldiers premade with none of the building requirements of its predecessor

you can play offline though which is a blessing, but the ai is wicked...

i expect a game series to be of the same type as the rest in its series. be it rpg, strategy, fps, whatever

the upgrades do nothing to help against the ai you face alone

good luck

5 out of 5 eggsWell Done

Pros: Campaign is great.
I love the ability to team play and invite friends to join your squads.
Lots of variety between team battles, Last Stand, and Campaign play.
AI is good.
Several levels of play make it easy to find something you enjoy.
I appreciate the game zones option with Windows Live. It gives you the opportunity to choose the types of players included in your zone. Whether you are a hard core gamer, recreation only, or plan on putting your kids into the family game zone, you can find something that works for you.

Cons: Campaign is a bit short, but lots of fun.
Having a Windows Live account is a bit cumbersome at first, but worth the hassle to set up.

Other Thoughts: Plays like and RPG and an RSG. A nice mix for those of us who appreciate both.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty good...

Pros: Having never played any of the warhammer games before I can't compare to older versions. On that note, I think this game is great. The campaign is a lot of fun and skirmishes are a fun way to experience variety. I think the fact that you can co-op the campaign is great for an RTS game. Units are cool and the design is nice. Its definitely not much different than Company of Heroes in its overall design and layout, but that is good for me because I enjoyed CoH.

Cons: I can understand some people wouldn't like having to use both Steam and Windows live for the game, but if you are into gaming, you should really have a Steam account anyway. They have excellent deals and updating through steam is always easy. Windows live can be a pain, but not nearly enough to drop an egg.

Other Thoughts: I would say, if you like RTS games that have a good campaign but also a fun comp stomp skirmish mode, get this game. If you have a problem with windows live or steam, then you probably want to stay away from this game.

5 out of 5 eggsgood game, good price

Pros: This game is just fun, unlike some people i actually like steam and gamesforwindows. The game has low requirements and I dont need a monster machine to run it smoothly. I got it for $19 two or three days before Christmas from here. I haven't played the multiplayer but I heard it's great. Its not your typicial RTS which I like. and you can play the campaign co op

Cons: well for some steam and gamesforwindows but i like those things and that they jacked the price back up to $47, because I was almost gettin my friends to buy this but they'll prolly wait till it gets cheaper

Other Thoughts: although my review isn't the greatest I would like to share that this is actually a fun game

my rig I run everything on max
ATI 4850 512mb
3gb ddr2 667 RAM
amd phenom x2 5200+
monitors max resolution 1400x900

5 out of 5 eggsFor The Emperor!!!

Pros: Great game, its a RPG that gives you tons of replay value. I've beaten the game numerous times and it feels different each time.

Cons: Needs more cow bell.... none really....

Other Thoughts: Can't wait for the expansion pack to come out! If you love Warhammer this is the game for you.

4 out of 5 eggsVery good.

Pros: Good graphics, great animation. Army painter. Playing the game is a blast going from the troops original equipment to upgrades.
Heroes have varied abilities. A good player wins over unit choice verytime.
Matchmaking for competitive play is excellent. team games have a short wait (3vs3)

Cons: Needs bigger and more varied maps. Games are a little too short. Skirmishes need a little more tactical time to set up before the fighting begins :)

Few people playing custom games. But not that big of deal because of competitive team play.

Other Thoughts: Whats up with games like this that release a few maps only?
They easily could release twice as many. ive seen it before in other RTS games.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Fun Game

Pros: Very good game. They style of this rts is very fun from others I have played. The graphics are very good. I like being able to log on to Windows Live to get achievements for my Xbox Live account.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: It isn't that hard to make a steam and windows live account, both are free and they take minutes to create.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor game at best

Pros: Warhammer 40k.. that's about it.

Cons: Steam, poor game play, and bugged. Gets old really fast.

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your money on steam supported products

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Squad-based gameplay with no base building, capturing certains points of the map to get resources or whatever has been 99% removed. I paint Warhammer minis just for fun and never liked the 40k universe, but this game is so stinking fun it made me a fan of the entire setting. RPG-style levelling for your squads so you can tailor your groups to match your playstyle and swap out other groups in the mission at hand needs a different approach. It's not groundbreaking, graphics aren't uberleet, but it's fun. Remember when games were fun? Yeah, me too; this one's fun. Pure. Simple.

Cons: Multiplayer is completely different than single player, and has more point-capturing, which is a game style I don't really like. Single player campaign isn't super long and you can only play 1 race and have 1 hero, no options there (though you can level your hero to be melee, ranged, etc).

Other Thoughts: I don't see how anyone could possibly give this game a 1. It's at least worthy of consistent 3s or better.

5 out of 5 eggsVery fun game

Pros: If you're looking for a fun game to play, this is a great game to buy. I don't know why other people say this game was not polished. The RTS + RPG gameplay makes the game exciting and addicting. Graphics are very nice. Also, don't worry about the windows live account, if you use msn, you can just use that as your live account. If you don't, it takes 2min to set up and absolutely free. Those people are just lazy and make that a con for the game.

Cons: Need to be connected to internet to play campaign.
