1 out of 5 eggsterrible game

Pros: Interesting plot.
Decent graphics.
Level architecture

Cons: Clunky interface
Abhorrent controls
Infuriatingly slow, stupid, annoying AI and NPCs
Level design
Object interaction (or lack there of)
Feedback from weapons
Barely any difference in the way all guns feel

Other Thoughts: Looks like the devs had good intentions. Too bad the execution is a complete failure.
Don't pay more than $2 for this game. Better yet, just avoid it.

4 out of 5 eggsShort story for a PC fps. Decent online multiplayer.

Pros: While it certainly isn't the best FPS I've played, it's pretty good compared to most other modern ones, all claiming to be the best.

The story, while short, is very fun, and it does put some spirit into you.

Cons: Its multiplayer is polluted by stupid Game servers, which kick you out of the game if you, a grown adult, curse while in game.

Last I read, we were not tolerating censorship very well on the internet. How did this little growth of idiocy crop up?

The online play is subject to landslides. When some people get enough kills, or perhaps enough hacks (I can't tell), the person just hides somewhere and summons things that pummel the other team to death, without giving them a fighting chance. It literally amounts to spawning and then being hit by a bomb.

3 out of 5 eggsCould be great, but multiplayer is Hack City

Pros: Fascinating storyline, interesting weapons, incredible potential to be a great game. Single player game is OK.

Cons: Multiplayer? Get ready to be hacked, jacked, smoked - this game screams for Punkbuster. I'm currently at Level 57.

Examples:
1) Sniper mode - with a M100, you can shoot another prostrate sniper within 15 FEET in the rear, he spins around, you put a round straight down the neck and another in the head, and he shoots and kills you...
Some players you can hit 3 - 4 times w/sniper rounds (including the head) from 200 yards, and they run away. Others, 1 shot & done.
2) I can take an Apache down with a sniper or automatic rifle much easier than a puny scout copter that is pounds you repeatedly... particularly the one 'airsoft' uses: can't take that thing down with a nuke. Hack, hack, hack....
3) Had a soldier walk up next to me at a window - I emptied a 9mm POINT BLANK in the side of his face, blood flying, he turns and stabs me.
4) UAVs - how can a UAV missile can take 1 person out over & over in a group?

Aimbots, see all & shoot throughs: ain't playing fair, so beware

Other Thoughts: I'm happy that the next version of Homefront will be written by the folks that did Crysis. The code needs to be tightened up, and a decent anti-hack installed.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat game

Pros: Great game. Haven't played the single player yet, but most people seem to agree that that's pretty good. I bought this game because it has one of the best multiplayer modes I've ever seen (grabbed the demo off of Steam) Action is perfectly balanced, better than Battlefield in my opinion. Battle points and killstreaks keep everything running just right. Graphics are good too, it's no Warhead, but you weren't expecting that, right?

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Got it off Steam for cheap.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat game for single player

Pros: I play every game in single player for the storyline. Homefronts story line was exceptional. Single player game play was great. Sound effects could be better graphics were sub par for the generation but a good game over all. Multi player isnt bad either quite fun maps are decent size. Reminds me of Battle Field Bad Co. 2.

Cons: Graphics could be better. Sound effects for weapons are bad not accurate and not even close to what i would call a simulation. Multiplayer lacks in options and incentive.

Other Thoughts: if the price ever hits $20 buy it its worth that for sure.

1 out of 5 eggshomefront crashes windows 7

Pros: Good story

Cons: good story only if you can get it to play (single player).
Windows does not reconize program for windows 7 (64 bit).

Other Thoughts: Dont like buying product that does not work when installed. I have now played with this program 1month and 1 day, everytime tried to play something went haywire, and frozeup.

4 out of 5 eggssomething different

Pros: Good graphics, Single player story is action packed, multiplayer doesn't have guys running around with knives taking 20 shots to the chest and stabbing you anyways(like Black ops), vehicles must be earned in multiplayer so no continuous vehicle mayhem over and over(like battlefield)

Cons: server issues have been a real plague, they've patched it and it's gotten better but still not super easy to get into a match

Other Thoughts: so far it's the best alternative to COD or Battlefield that i have played, this game does allow dedicated servers which is good, but player population dropped quite a bit, as the time taken to patch it was way too long...i think people who got this game early got hosed, but new players will probably find it a better value

2 out of 5 eggsI want my money back.

Pros: It's a nice change from the call of duty series. The drones are pretty cool too.

Cons: The game was actually pretty good before they patched it. A sniper could reasonably hit someone in the chest and they'd die... (realistic to me).. and using an SMG or assault rifle wouldn't required a full clip to bring someone down either. However, now you can line them up in a firing squad and they still wouldn't die.

It's not as smooth as MW2 and lags often whether on completely low settings or high.
