Features
Year: 2012, Place: Pripyat, the wasted city near Chernobyl, site of the world's most devastating nuclear accident. Decades later, unstable and inexplicable artifacts with malevolent powers are discovered within the zone. High risks do not stop the S.T.A.L.K.E.Rs, paramilitary adventurers and looters from entering the zone for profit. They are willing to face death to make a fortune by retrieving and selling those precious artifacts. When 5 military helicopters disappear in the zone, you must go undercover as a S.T.A.L.K.E.R and face off against mutants, an onslaught of enemy creatures, and other bizarre atrocities that reveal the true face of terror. Where most first person shooters rely on relentless action to engage their players, Call of Pripyat goes in an entirely different direction: allowing for long moments of silence amidst a desolate landscape and an ever changing vista. It's the stuff grade-A horror movies are made of.

5 out of 5 eggsWent out with class

Pros: The last in the series, but the best release of the three, especially when modded with the "Complete Mod". This is a game that can give you several avenues of gameplay, depending on the choices you make through the levels.

Cons: This series, even the final has none.

Other Thoughts: A low memory, the 2gig level will have a lot of stuttering.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome graphics, game play okay.

Pros: Bought it for the price, cheap. Awesome graphics, it gives you that dooms day feeling. Game play is okay, had to do some online research on what other gamers did to figure it out. Once I understood it is a good game, a bit hard.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The game went on a Windows 7 machine, Asus G73J gaming laptop. No hicups!

5 out of 5 eggsThe last chapter

Pros: It is the hands down best experience in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe. The entire series lead itself to this point. Though the story is a little slower to get going, the overall scope and gameplay is much more refined than previous outings. Gone are the tutorial-like introductions that Clear Sky practically hemorrhaged from- this time you are dropped in like a newborn baby into a strange land full of mutants, odd caverns, anomalies, abandoned buildings, and the finale of the once beautiful city of Pripyat now in decay. The men that you will meet in this new place are full of secrets, some wish to help you and others will simply take advantage of you for their own gain. Around the corner their is always some new horror waiting for you- in Call of Pripyat.

Cons: The difficulty curve bothers people, I don't get it, I love this kind of experience in my game. If I'm not getting murdered over radioactive relics in a nuclear decaying nightmare zone, then something isn't right. The story takes awhile to get going and their are in fact some scenarios that are downright impossible unless you are prepared for them. Anomalies can occasionally kill you instantly, mutants are much deadlier than the first two games. Your equipment tends to fall apart a lot faster unless you've been upgrading it. Upgrading equipment is a little tedious, as is finding special tool sets for specific "fixer-uppers" quality of work and what you are allowed to upgrade. Initially money is hard to get a lot of very quickly considering the game is implying you'll need. Without the right kind of equipment you can get placed in "un-winnable" situations. With the last minute support of DirectX 11, you will likely see very little difference from Directx 10.

Other Thoughts: This is the last great Stalker game. The mistakes made in Clear sky are all hammered out here, glitches are much fewer and farther between one another too, also with the support of Direct X 11 you'll find that the games engine was simple never meant to support it. The games engine, though ambitious and charming, is not up to the task of running beyond DirectX 9 sadly. It is still missing some of what made Shadow Of Chernobyl an unmistakeably amazing first chapter.

5 out of 5 eggsWorthy addition to STALKER universe

Pros: - new interface
- better weapon dynamics
- some rare weapons became easily accessible: PKM, Gauss Rifle, Street Sweeper(rotary shotgun), M32 (Rotary 40mm grenade launcher), VSS Vintorez, SVD, SVDu.
- ton of side mission to get cool new weapons and armor. now you can upgrade to run while wearing exo.
- new better AI for creatures and enemies
- you can get good hardware just by scavenging
- very modest in hardware requirements but if you can ramp your settings up you still get awesome graphics despite game being somewhat older.
- interesting plot
-

Cons: -need to install udates
-updates are not universal for all games. there is two types of releases of the game and you basically have to install proper update for your type of release. Stalker website has both but I wasn't sure which release my game is so I had to do it twice. First one turned out to be not for my game. Download files quite large and it took awhile with my 1MB connection. Time that i could be playing.

Other Thoughts: It last and latest sequel of STALKER and it improves on a lot of things that were bummer in previous two games.
I think of all three I like this one the best. It's story line not as elaborate as in Shadows and without too much twist and turns but still very enjoyable nevertheless. If you are STALKER fan or a beginner it's definitely worth it's money. Just don't go into it with preconceived notion that it's gonna be something like COD or Metro or Fallout. It's sort of along the lines of FarCry 2 wit Elements of above games - kinda beast in it's own sense.
