Should still be in development
- Pros: This game has some pretty cool features. Being able to control the entire war machine of the US or Japan (or the UK for some reason) is a great premise if you happen to like games in that niche. Being able to step into any level of the battle adds that much more potential fun. Or one might think.
- Cons: The game isnt done. It simply doesnt work. Crashes left and right, features that seem to go nowhere and an AI that doesnt seem to know what its doing. Let me summerize with an example: I picked the option to play a sandbox style game, ie the mainland and pearl harbor as the US. I struck right out and took most of the central pacific including Iwo Jima. The AI had no reaction whatsoever. Not only that they didnt seem to send out any fleets whatsoever after the initial expansion. They just sat there and built destroyers (at least 100 at every base, 500+ at home port). Add that to the fact that moving people and reasources around is as much work as your real job and you have a very low fun/frustration ratio.
- Other Thoughts: I wanted to like this game so bad. I spent days on it trying to find the diamond in the rough. I just found more rough. If this game had been in development for another few months or if there was any attempt at fixing/patching the deep seeded problems, it could have been a masterpeice. Instead it is just plain frustrating. Even if you like this type of game (like me) stay away.
