Great Game
- Pros: Excellent game with proper lighting. Many good attack methods and physical movement combinations. Cool weapons. Nice load-out screen for weapons, supplies, and briefings.
- Cons: Controls take some getting used to, and perhaps a little re-mapping to match up to past classics. Using the scroll wheel on the mouse to change your movement speed seems shoddy until you get used to it, then you start to understand why it's like that.
- Other Thoughts: Never played any other game in the series, but I'll vouch for this one.
Excellent
- Pros: In response to the other review saying it worked in Vista 64 - Only reason it works in that OS is because encore software didn't put starforce DRM in this game.
The fact that this is the only version of SCCT that doesn't have starforce infecting it is a plus in itself... This is an excellent game. Very addictive, fun game.
- Cons: I bought it the day it came out and had to deal with starforce on it. google starforce if you ever want to know how bad it is..
It barely worked right on XP64 even after upgrading the starforce drm.. it messed with my cdrom drives and its just a horrible drm method
- Other Thoughts: Im glad to have rebought it soo cheap without the starforce. I'll keep my originally bought version on my shelf and have fun with this one since it works great in xp64 now that the starforce is gone.
Best of series
- Pros: Solid visuals, great sound quality, tense gameplay, keyboard/mouse controls are very tight and responsive, best overall presentation of series. Doesn't have the "wow" factor that the first SC game had (being a new take on stealth action), but Chaos Theory is by far the most polished, and much more enjoyable then Double Agent.
- Cons: The paper and cardboard "box" it came in is incredibly cheap. Encore did the same thing with the SC/SC: Pandora Tomorrow pack too. Cheap Cheap Cheap! /slap >.<
- Other Thoughts: Best in series, easily worth the asking price.
