3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Amazing game, the terrorist hunt is just a great game and super fun. story line is great and keeps you playing

Cons: none that i can thing of. oh except one big thing, THE SHIPMENT ON THE GAME TAKES AGES! Now, im not one to usually complain, but when the delivery says 4 to 7 days and it takes 2 weeks to get there, i get a little annoyed.

Other Thoughts: I will always buy my computer parts and accessories from newegg, but never again would i order a game. they arent reliable with the shipping times what so ever.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't Bother

Pros: None Game will not play.

Newegg delivered it as expected. No fault on them.

Cons: Ubisoft support is useless. The game is basically shelved and they are no longer providing support for it. After install game crashes with a General Protection Fault. Other than the canned send us a DXdiag response there has been no effort on supports part. Called MS they believe that this is a software issue that probably exploited a closed security risk in Windows and is the reason for the new GPF.

Other Thoughts: Lot's of better ways to spend your money. Google Ubisoft support and or specifically Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 problems, you will get the idea. Wish I did before buying this as a Christmas gift for my son. Going to contact Newegg about RMA now tried to give support time to help, it's jsut not going to come.

3 out of 5 eggsGood, but annoying and buggy

Pros: Good story line and a lot of work put into the appearance of the game.

Cons: AI can get in the way. Enemies can inflict massive damage before player can react. Enemies seemingly shooting through edges of walls suggests problem with bots being able to aim and fire before they're realistically see you. Multiplayer problem with audio, the game will often continue their gun's firing sound continuously until the round is ended.

Other Thoughts: I'd pay $10 for this if you have LAN parties. It's a great deal.

5 out of 5 eggsvery high value

Pros: price, playability, win7 compatible (including 64-bit), price.
It's a great game. My past experience was limited to the original Rainbow 6, and this is (of course) light years ahead in terms of playability. I find that while the AI isn't particularly smart (what AI ever is?) it is easy to give them directions on the fly and improvise plans, so you can manage them easily. Not perfect, but pretty good.
Ranking and unlocking system is fun, gives you something to look forward to and keeps you coming back for more. The various weapon choices also add to the fun and variety.

all in all - easy to use (shallow learning curve, especially if already experienced with FPS's), once it loads into memory it runs smoothly (may have to reduce your resolution to up the frame rate), and for this price, snatch up a few copies and mail 'em to your friends so everyone has a key and can play online.

Cons: i have a job that also requires my attention.

some additional deathmatch boards would be nice, the boards/levels/worlds included are pretty limited, as they tend to be too big for small groups. If you have just 2-3 players, there's really only 1 or 2 boards you can practically use for deathmatching, as the rest are too expansive and you'll spend more time hunting than firing. On the flip side, there's other game modes you can use to spice it up a bit - team deathmatch, conquest, etc...

a training mode would have been nice as well, so you can try out the various weapons and gadgets in a safe environment.

Other Thoughts: i picked up 3 copies, set up LAN parties often. lock and loads of fun.
if you have a computer headset - even better!

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very fun, lots of variety in the guns, neat character customization and ranks that actually improve your character and unlock more weapons, armor and clothing. Good, fun, though slightly generic storyline as well. Definitely worth the price.

Cons: Weird framerates, i'll go from 70+ fps during 90% of the game, but it will drop down to the 20s (still fairly playable though) depending on where i look on certain maps (mostly the outdoor areas).

The AI for your squad mates is kind of dumb. They tend to get in the way, or have to be ordered to do something twice.

I wish unlocking certain guns didn't depend on your play style (close quarters, marksman, ect...)

Other Thoughts: Specs:
i7 860 @ 3.8Ghz, 4GB Ripjaws, Gigabyte P55-UD6, Vapor-X 4870 1GB @ 805/1020.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Gaming Value

Pros: Great game. 5 Eggs for the price tag alone. If you enjoyed any of the R6 games in the past you should like this one. I recommend getting Vegas & Vegas 2 together and play them back to back. Some replay value. I am on my 3rd time through the story mode and still finding places I haven't visited before, and still unlocking items. AI is OK but keep them under control. Give them a spot and make them stay there or you may end up with a frag in your lap because one of them decided to step in front of you just as you released it. I experienced none of the bugs listed in online reviews so I am guessing it is well patched at this point. Cannot speak for the online mode as I have not tried it yet. The game runs smoothly on the machine listed below.

Cons: AI cannot be left to roam freely. Not really a con for me as I have never played a FPS where I could depend upon the AI for anything beyond simple tasks such as.,, "Frag & Clear" They will do what they are told to do. Voice acting and cut scenes are typically unrefined, but who wants to pay extra for acting? =) Grab a gun and get shooting!

Other Thoughts: Win XP Pro SP3
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5000+
ATI Radeon HD 4830
2 GB RAM Dual Channel DDR2 800
Soundmax Integrated HD Audio
