Alone in the Dark

Pros: Game could have been way better, Graphics are great. Game has nice game-play mechanics at times, other times the fighting or shooting does not work. Some Boss fights are fun when you get the hang of weapons and gadget at your disposal.

Cons: This game is not for everyone. The game has bugs here and there. Story and dialog is not good, but entertaining.

Other Thoughts: I am old school resident evil player, this reminded me a bit of those classic times.I will play this game to the end. But then move on to next game.

Pros: The game came Free with a Graphics Card.

Cons: 'Console' game ported to PC. SecuROM found a non-existent "Emulator" which broke the game until I sent a Log to their support site. After applying their patched .exe the game would finally play. Although the game has both 1st and 3rd person views, the games numerous Cinematic episodes force you back to 3rd person at annoying and inopportune times. Game forces you to play 3rd person as several functions are only available in that mode. 3rd person movement clunky and slow.

Other Thoughts: Removed game after less than a hour of play due to frustrating game interface. I'm glad I didn't pay for this game. If I had, I would be returning it immediately.

Pros: Not much. The graphics are pretty good I guess.

Cons: The controls suck. Sometimes the game gives you a hint on how to use something...only problem is you have to guess what key to hit since sometimes it only shows you an xbox 360 button. Controls are awkward. Camera views are bad. Hard to tell what you are supposed to do at times. The game is really boaring. Yawn...

Other Thoughts: I should have bought somthing else.

Pros: Nobody forced me to play it...

Cons: No one was fired in the making of this game....

This game is so poorly optimized for the PC, it makes Bully (PC) play like Half Life 2. I'm sure the game sucks...but I just want to list all of the annoying issues that will prevent anyone from ever playing through the whole game.
-It takes like 4 minutes to load up the menu screen (DRM needs to check it's the right disk every time)
-Takes even more time to start a level
-I can't get more than 15 FPS during gameplay
-Graphical glitches and slowdowns appear everywhere

Did I mention I have a EVGA GTX 260 Superclocked Edition...

Play it only if someone is paying you for it, or forcing you at gunpoint....

Pros: The 9600 GSO that came with it is amazing!

Cons: The 9600GSO that came with it wasn't free.

The storyline is horrible. It was horribly ported over from the Xbox.

Other Thoughts: This game should be free so you don't waste your money on it.

Pros: The only good thing about ths game is the music.

Cons: Everything! The mechanics are horrible, bad camera angles (often hard to tell what you need to do or where you need to go), bad sound proximity (example: the sound FX of an enemy on the first floor sound like they’re right next to you when you’re on the second floor), bad lighting ( you often run into pitch black areas), bad controls (huge lag in response and shooting a gun is a task in itself), bad color schemes (tones are very grey; you don’t need to be dull to be scary), weapon damage system make no sense (hitting someone with a chair does more damage than shooting them), bad inventory system (you must access it in real time which means you can get hit while trying to access items), no life bar (you can never really tell how badly injured you are), unusually high emphasis on fire (this gets boring fast), one of the worst driving sequences in gaming history (this you have to play in order to believe).

Other Thoughts: I actually played this game on three seperate consoles, PC, PS2 and XBOX 360, for a game analysis class I took. This game is a classic example of poor design in every aspect that goes into game design. If you feel you have to play it rent it on a console. DO NOT BUY!!!

Pros: Visuals, special effects, physics... and frame rate is nice on a 640MB 8800 GTS + E6600...
Parts of the levels are fun to play around. Item interaction is cool!
... also, it was free with a 9600 GT :) ...

Cons: I heard that the controls were difficult, and ya they were RIGHT! Bad calibration from the programmer...
Sometimes the jacket menu will freeze when trying to combine items...

I had to Reset the controls a couple times to fix some bugs.

They should work these things out before releasing to the public.

Other Thoughts: Eventually I got the hang of the bloody controls and had a little fun mainly with the interaction, graphics, effects, and physics....

Other than the overall gameplay, the Blood Sucking Monster (zombie) theme is just getting old...

Pros: Uwe Boll's movie needs to burn. However, when Atari shifted their focus of the game back to the original script of the movie, rather than Uwe Boll's stinkpile, it was probably the best move that they could have made.

It is a great story, and the atmospheres are well built. The scene with the roads dropping out into giant pits was fantastic.

Cons: Physics are a little finicky, but it's not a game breaker, just a little distracting when a body flips out.

I will say though, the swapping between first and third person can be annoying.

Other Thoughts: As for people complaining about the controls, yes, they are a little weird, but you need to understand: It is an adventure horror, not another brainless and stupid First Person Shooter that you dummies seem to love. (I am sick of seeing so many shooters out there, most of them are just a rehash of the same thing, run, shoot, celebrate). We need more games with substance, like the Jane's flight sims, the Swat series (Swat 3 specifically), or anything that has more than just click and reload.

Pros: Looks nice... good story... cost about half as much than i have seen at the stores...

Cons: Worst PC Controls i have ever seen! makes the game near impossible to play... so im using my XBOX 360 control. All the bugs gives me a headache too...
