5 out of 5 eggsGreat MMO for Adults

Pros: A lot to do. Full customization of ships. Each race has it's own starter areas along with ships made specifically for them. Note that this does not mean that only those races can fly their ships. The play simply need but train a skill. Awesome features for PvE players and PvP players alike.

Cons: Not much except the ISK spammers.

Other Thoughts: Scammers are a part of eve-online but hardly illegal by the games standards. ISK selling for anything other than eve time codes directly with CCP is against the T&C. This game, as stated before, is not going to hold any players hand. If you fall for the scam, you deserved it. Just as while in war, if a spy gets in to your corporation/alliance and disbands the whole thing *cough* bob *cough* oh well. It could happen in real life, it can happen in Eve. Eve is 90% player driven. The major battles you see are alliances fighting over territories and maybe mercenaries for hire bruting another corporation. Beyond the Eve client is immortality, it's yours! take it! Love that movie :p

5 out of 5 eggsGreatest game ever created

Pros: Heart-pounding PVP
Highly complex economy rivaling the real-world global stock exchange in scope and complexity
Incredibly deep crafting experience. From mining ore, to researching blueprints, to manufacturing individual components, to assembling those components into starships - the player crafting side of Eve is massive.
Real time progession: your character's skills progress in real time whether you're logged in to the game or not.
Cutting edge graphics on par with other high-end games
Highly involved developer team has a very good level of feedback & communication with the player base
Coucil of Stellar Management: a group fo 10 players, elected by players, tasked with presenting to CCP the concerns and interests of the player base at large.
Abilitiy to control entire solar systems; constellations; even whole arms of the galaxy
Unsharded server: all players are on the same realm.
Massive fleet battles with 1000's of players

Cons: Absolutely brutal cycle of loss when you die
High amount of work required to make enough money to replace the ships you will inevitably lose
Fairly technical overall feel to the game's interface and motif - lots and lots of right-click menus
Impossible to do anything cool in less than an hour of play time
Extremely steep learning curve to master the basic concepts of gameplay - this MMO does not pamper the player.
Large initial time investment required before your character has progressed to a point that you can do much of anything in the game (about 2 months, minimum).
High amount of scams/griefing: due to the unforgiving atmosphere of Eve, the player base is very cutthroat and will use any oppotunity the can to scam you. This type of unforgiving, cutthroat playstyle is encouraged by the devs.

Other Thoughts: I have played Eve for 5 years. I've pretty much seen it all and done it all. I feel that Eve is not just the best game I've played; I believe it's the greatest PC game ever created. Eve is so complex, so deep, and so real - it rivals real life. Indeed, the reason I stopped playing Eve was it just demanded too much of my time to maintain my online persona. If you are retired and bored or otherwise adrift without purpose or commitments in the real world, by all means - lose yourself in Eve. But be warned: this is a hardcore MMO. Eve will chew you up and spit you out, leaving you panting and trembling in front of your keyboard. The only guarantee in Eve is that you will lose everything you try to build.

P.S.: Comparing WoW to Eve is like comparing a toy car to a Ferrari. World of Warcraft is nowhere close to Eve in terms of depth or complexity.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat game

Pros: ive played eve online for about 4 years now. its an extremly in depth game. it can be a little hard to start out with since its been out for so long there are around 500k experienced players on it. probly the only other game that even rivals it in its market is the all famed WoW. graphics are brilliant and game play extremly fast paced. you can go through this game for years and always pick a new direction to go with your character. a must have for anyone that like mmorpg, action, co-op, solo, u name it.

Cons: there is an hour long downtime on the servers every day at the same time, and the patches can be a bit glitchy at times. stay out of the jita map during peak hours, there can be over aa thousand people easy in there and it laggs bad, u also risk getting pwned.
