Acronis Disk Director 11 Home

Pros: Previous versions worked well, nut NOT this version (True Image 12)

Cons: Acronis give you 29 days from registration "ONLY" to be able to even contact them... They are 100% hidden from you for any other contact with them for "any" reason.
I Purchased a Program, which did not run properly after Installation...I ended up, after 29 days, having to replace my Hard drive with a new Windows installation ( NOT associated with the Acronis installation, I don't believe...HOWEVER, I could "not" re-install My Acronis True Image Software...AND the Acronis cxontact svcreen ( even just to send an email ... Was Greyed out. They could care "less" about me as per Customer Support.
I will NEVER buy Acronis software again...( I didn't lose my money on the 1st purchase ( due to a 100% rebate with the purchase...DO NOT buy Acronis Software

Pros: None - I purchased this product from Acronis!

Cons: Watch out! Read the small letters! It doesn't support the GPT athoug it claims it does! Didn't support any of my Win7/64 GPT hard drives so no disk management and no cloning. It supports only MBR, I guess!

Pros: Does as advertised.

Cons: Absolutely None

Other Thoughts: I am tired of reading reviews by from people trying to pass themselves off with "Tech Knowledge" as 5 - High that clearly are NOT!
Just because you don't know what you are doing, don't blame the software.

This software has performed flawlessly in the 100's of times I have used it. It has worked on virtually every brand drive, every size, and solid state drives.
If you work or build computers this software is something you need in your tool kit.

Pros: None !

Cons: If you wanrt to wish you were never born , purchase this software !!

Other Thoughts: Want to suffer total unrecoverable loss of " EVERYTHING" on your computer, go ahead and load this software !!

One egg because Newegg doesn't have a negative egg choice for us to choose. Maybe a " rotten egg " would be a choice to offer us,

Pros: Clones drives as well as well as all the other tasks for manually managing drive partitions.

Cons: Can't think of any

Other Thoughts: Norton Ghost 15 / Symantec System Recovery Desktop Edition failed to clone my disk, two times.

Acronis Disk Director of all products came through on the first try.

Pros: Creates, deletes, resizes, renames, etc. flawlessly.

Cons: Haven't found any yet.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this software over a year ago for personal use. Turns out, it came in very handy for company use as well. I probably use only 20% of the features available therefore I can't comment on some of the other reviewer's issues. I would purchase again.

Pros: I will only buy Seagate or Western Digital drives because these companies provide a free download of Acronis software off their website. I can clone a new laptop drive using the USB port.

Cons: The only criteria is that the Seagate or WD drive must be the "new" cloned drive.

Pros: Excellent for creating, changing Partitions for Windows machines

Cons: Interface keeps getting more confusing and harder to use since Disk Director 10. Not enough testing. If you try to make a boot disk with True Image Home 2010 and D Director 11 Home -boot disk will not work right. After tons of complaints and 3 months they produced an update for True Image 2010 which fixes the boot problem. Company very slow to respond to tech problems and many of the reps are totally incapable of rational thinking

Other Thoughts: Overall both classes of products True Image Home and Disk Director are technically sound and work well, although they often have some tragic fault due to failure to tell you how to get around problems. For example Disk Director 10 appeared incompatible with newer machines, but all you had to do to make it boot from emergency disk was to choose SAFE MODE. Their tech support did not know this and kept giving out useless and stupid misinformation until I figured it out on my own. The problem is caused by RAM and address requirements of newer systems.

Pros: Couldn't use

Cons: -Box never says it doesn't work with server OS!!
-Can not return after you open it!!

Other Thoughts: Failure on Acronis for not listing or informing Newegg about this, and failure on Newegg's part for no refund/store credit!!

Pros: Advertizing claims are fantastic. They have a HUGE list of what they claim it can do. Best I can tell, it has a dice rolling function for deciding when the functions will work or not. Nice looking box.

Cons: The longer I have it, the worse it gets. The “OS SELECTOR” portion, 3rd listed feature of this package doesn’t recognize my Logitech G500 mouse. I have to guess keyboard shortcuts to navigate the “OS SELECTOR”. I recently hooked up a used HD just to check it. It was an old boot drive that “OS SELECTOR” added to its menu & is now the default drive. The drive is gone, but I can’t remove the menu selection because now it insists that my TRIAL PERIOD is expired. I’ve had the full version since 9/2010 & registered it at least twice so far. Even when performing tasks from Windows, some options work, don’t work, work again with no apparent rhyme or reason. It has been uninstalled & reinstalled. No difference.

Other Thoughts: A waste of money & time.
I’m now looking for a replacement product.
OS SELECTOR lists a floppy drive that never existed.
I will be re
