Pros: I've been using Acronis True Image for the last 5 years. With the various versions I've used, the problems I did encounter mostly dealt with incomplete, or corrupted backups. That in itself is enough to not use the product. A backup program needs to be reliable.
I decided to give the 2016 version a try, based upon the reviews I read.
Overall, I'm pretty impressed with the functionality, reliability, and stability of this new version.
I found creating a backup to be pretty straightforward. After a Full creation, you then have the option to create your version set for Incremental or Differential, and set all other options for frequency and destination.

So far, I've been using it for several months on 2 computers, backing up to an external drive.
The time for my backups to run, verify, and complete are much quicker than previous versions.
A few test restores found each backup, and made it available and completed successfully.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied with the new 2016 version...I've not had any issues with what I expect this program to do.

Cons: I'm not to fond of the company "pushing" the user to utilize their Cloud, nor having their Cloud as the default destination for backups.
You can disable this, but then again one should be presented with more of a selection option, then have to root through the spaghetti bowl of settings to change this.

Other Thoughts: This is not the best backup program out there, but then again it's not the worst, although I perhaps wouldn't say this about their previous versions.
StorageCraft's ShadowProtect Desktop is pretty much the gold standard for home backup solutions, but it's not cheap, at $89.00 for one license. Backing up a few computers gets expensive.
Overall, the Acronis True Image 2016 simply does what I expect it to do...Create my backups and successfully verify and complete them. So far it's been doing just that, so I'm satisfied.

Pros: Backup and restore work when booted from the optical disk.

Cons: The new user interface with the 2016 version is horrible, confusing and difficult to use. The product will not display disks and partitions to backup but instead shows a blank window. The user can only backup the entire system or select directories. Product support is unavailable after 30 days from installation which feels like awful customer support for a product that failed to work out of the box. It costs $20 to ask Acronis for assistance in debugging their product. The technical information available on the support site and troubleshooting help provide no clue on this problem.

Other Thoughts: The PC is a three way boot system Windows 10 64 bit, Windows XP 32 bit, and DOS 6.22. As an experienced system builder, I have been using Acronis products for over a decade, have had proven success, and have been very satisfied. They took an excellent product and destroyed it.

Pros: Easy to install, easy to set up, fast backup

Pros: Backs up and Restores

Cons: Upgraded (ha) from 2014 Premium to this. Not amused with the log in screen first thing you see. I can care less about that backing up 'online' syncing or any of that junk. Don't need it and sure won't use it Other tools are hidden away. Phones home a lot. What really got me was the ad notification 'One of a kind deal!
I despise software companies using my PC as an advertising platform. Time to look into something else. In the meantime, I will stick with ATI 2014 Premium as it does appear to be Windows 10 friendly

Pros: Performs as promised! Excellent product.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I was able to change out old hard drives for new ones without losing the settings and programs.
