5 out of 5 eggsNapoleon Total War Limited Edition PC Game SEGA

Pros: Great Installment of Total War. Especially someone who likes history as much as me.

Good game to test out my new machine seeing as I have never been able to run this type of game at the highest setting lagg free. The good news is I could and the graphics are great.

Cons: Great Price at the time of purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsgood game

Pros: great addition to the total war collection.
new units
naval battles are available
multiple campaigns
very entertaining
great graphics
i think its worth the money

Cons: biggest con is the fact you need steam... i had to attempt twice to install this game because of steam. the only advantage to steam is that you can play the game without the disc with steam and there is an offline mode for steam so you dont need a broadband connection at all times to play the single player options

Other Thoughts: even though steam was a disappointment i didnt remove a egg since the game is fun and that shouldnt reflect the game itself. if you enjoy the totalwar series, u'll like this game

2 out of 5 eggsIt's just not a fun game

Pros: Graphics look nice

Cons: I am totally new to the Total War series and have enjoyed games like Warcraft 3 in the past. This game is significantly more complex, so you will probably spend a month just trying to figure out how to play instead of just enjoying it.

If you're looking for a game to just install and start having fun - this is not it. The battles are only part of the game (like hunting was part of Oregon Trail - LOL). Micromanaging to this extent, just isn't for me.

The game is probably fine, it's just not for me.

Other Thoughts: If you try to launch the game in Steam and it does nothing, you have to download a DirectX (dxwebsetup.exe) patch from Microsoft.

1 out of 5 eggsBAD

Pros: Great Graphics

Cons: STEAM IS HORRIBLE!! It Took Me 4 Hours To Download Steam And The Install The Game All Together! You Have To Have A Broadband Connection If You Want To Play This Game, Even In Single Player Campain.! :[ I'm Taking It Back Today. I Have Seen Many New Games Have This Engine. And They All That Bad Reviews

Other Thoughts: If The Game Was Like All The Other Total War's And Didn't Have To Have Internet At All It Would Be Amazing. And The Campain Is Somewhat Short. Not Like Any Other Total War Games.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Game!

Pros: A great addition to the Total War series. I have been playing single player mode for several weeks and really enjoy it.

Cons: I get really upset when a unit does not automatically defend itself during a battle. If you get caught up in a large battle and one of your units gets flanked it will not face the enemy and will be decimated. There should be a setting to allow units to act somewhat as they would in real life with the regimental commander acting on his own.

5 out of 5 eggs5/5 for a great continue of the Total War series

Pros: For less than 40 bucks, great quality! I love the increased fluidity of the controls and the increased flexibility of the controls as well. They also did a great job balancing the game units and factions, they did this so well as to the point in which strategy, the whole reason we play games such as this, is 100% essential. I play often with my friend on the online SAVE-ABLE campaign and usually beat him even if the odds are 1:2 against me! For all RTS game players, this game scores amongst the top for me.

Also nice multiplayer and single player action.
Drop in battles are a nice way to increase your skill.

Cons: Still new, so there are some bugs to work out.
Gets boring after extended campaign play, then again thats how turn base campaign works...

Other Thoughts: Highly suggest for players who know/ can implement decent strategy, only thing that would be nice to have added to the game would be a strategy helper, to provide you with some basic ideas for starting strategies.

1 out of 5 eggsDont Buy, you will have problems.

Pros: NewEgg Shipped Fast

Cons: This game uses the Steam engine to play. After 3 tries of installing, uninstalling, and re-installing the steam system finally installed correctly. Now, even after restarting the computer 2 times and trying over and over again the game wont start. I opened the steam controller and clicked on Napoleon, then clicked launch. First you get a 'preparing to launch' screen, then nothing. Opening task manager shows no processes. Tried over and over again. I also tried running from the disk. Nothing again.

Other Thoughts: I have a lot of programs installed and working just fine. They run smooth, and there are no hickups. This game should run fine on this comp.

5 out of 5 eggsMy New Favorite Game

Pros: The graphics are astonding on this game. The campaigns of Napoleon are lots of fun. Also the new "attrition" feature makes especially the Egyptian campaign challenging. Most factions online are balanced. Also unlike ETW (aka bug total war) The "Elite units" unique to each faction are limited to 4 in online battles. (So no annoying spam armies) My graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 4650 and I only have 2 GBs of RAM and I am still running the game on High settings with zero lag. Also online the new drop-in battle feature is nice. And turns instead of 6 months per turn is now just 2 weeks per turn.

Cons: One huge mammoth sized issue...STEAM! Between 50-60 percent of the online games I join I get "Connection to Steam has ended" and alot of people are complaining about it. Also you cannot have more than one player play the game (Even on the same computer) because the game is slaved to one Steam account. This is not a poor reflection of the awesome game...just a poor reflection on the game makers for picking Steam to run it.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is an amazing game. Historically accurate, and great to play. Not nearly as many bugs or problems as ETW.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Game

Pros: Historically oriented around Napoleon (its also a con, read on), the game continues the Empire: Total War it is a sequel to. You fight in Europe, going through Napoleon's campaigns to get a grasp of the game by first, learning how to move your character, attack armies and cities, then learning the campaign via the Italian and Egyptian campaigns, and then Europe as a "grand campaign". You get other options such as fighting Napoleon's most famous battles (in succession), or fighting as one of the coalition nations.

Cons: There isn't much difference between Empire and Napoleon total war titles when it comes to the campaign and battles. Despite some improvements, the one thing that irritated me the most was the fact that it was all limited to the European map, unlike Empire's 3 theaters. Also, you are limited to 5 nations when you play: France, Britain, Russia, Prussia, and Austria. Although, to be fair, I have not beaten the Coalition campaign to see if I could unlock others.

Other Thoughts: I enjoyed the game, but I wish there was more to it than just limiting the player to Europe or at least have some sort of "Imperial" campaign that would include the numerous theaters of Empire.
