3 out of 5 eggsBasically a good game with some flaws that should have been corrected with patches by now.

Pros: The graphics are fantastic. Framerate in normally smooth 30+ fps with high settings on my Phenom x2 550 3.1ghz, 4 gig ram, Radeon HD 4870 1 gig system. Some good tunes for the soundtrack.

Gameplay is pretty fun. Good player customization for MyPlayer mode. Only $20.

Cons: Game will occasionally crash to desktop or restart the computer. Frustrating to lose progress on a game that was going well. Game saves become corrupted at times. Always make back up copies of saves (of latest save and even a couple games back) unless you don't mind restarting over.

In MyPlayer mode it's seems that you can only play 5 minute quarters which artificially lowers the stats of yourself and team relative to everyone else in the league. Should be adjustable. The grading system for MyPlayer is too finicky at times. It doesn't adjust the rules situationally. Player AI is often slow. They don't anticipate when your player is going to be open for the pass. Instead they often wait until he's already open meaning he no longer is by the time the pass is received or your in poor positioning passed the hoop. Layups seem harder than they should be. You need a high layup/consistency skill to avoid constantly clanking.

Online play is broken most of the time. Has been unusable fo

Other Thoughts: 2k sports said a PC patch was around the corner months ago and has been mum since. Still a pretty good game considering it's only $20, but it could be so much better if they fixed these issues. Many of which are already patched for the consoles.

Get it in gear 2K! I was thinking about buying the MLB 2k10 for the PC (coming soon...) but after seeing how shoddy 2k sports has been in getting to patching NBA 2k10 I'm playing wait and see first.

1 out of 5 eggsBuyer Beware

Pros: The game play is fun and smooth when working properly. There’s a complete section in the manual on “stick” shooting for dunks, lay-ups and regular shots. There is a mode for pretty much everyone:
- My Player (created an NBA draft pick out of college and then attempt to be superstar-rookie)
- Pick an NBA Team and play with them for a few seasons
- Quick plays
The game even includes live NBA roster updates every few weeks.

Cons: The problem is that they have failed to release a PC Patch while releasing 2 patches for the X-Box 360 and Playstation 3 for several bugs that can cause permanent loses to your saved games. There is a bug where you’ll lose your “My Player” if you win your first season in the NBA. That’s a month or two of game play that some people have lost. The online functionality for the PC is also not working properly. Customers keep asking for technical assistance on 2K Games support forums without any feedback on patches, fixes or server status.

Other Thoughts: Honestly, it is fun in single player and offline, but the game is supposed to have online support. The company that developed this game does not respond well to any issues and is keeping the PC players in the dark on fixes. So if you can deal with limited support, where you may run into a bug that causes you to lose your game, I’d say get this game. Otherwise if you really want an updated NBA game, wait for another game to come out for the PC.

3 out of 5 eggsBest and worse NBA game ever

Pros: The gameplay takes some getting used to if you are used to playing NBA Live. This however feels much more realistic and graphics wise, is second to none. It has a nice soundtrack and I have never played a sports game with better commentators. They not only talk about your players and team, but also other teams, other big games on TV, and reference past games.

Cons: Menu navigation is clunky and quirky at best. I often find myself fumbling around to find menus I may have just utilized a day before. The BIGGEST CON that I cannot believe has not yet been mentioned is the lack of support from 2K Sports. Guys, this game has ZERO free agent access. This means you cannot sign free agents during your season because the free agent pool is MISSING. There is still NO UPDATE that I have found on the 2K website. What sports game manufacturer would leave that portion out, then fail to provide a patch?

Other Thoughts: I have no issues with the game play but I do have a quad core processor and a GTX 285. I found it unfortunate that I had to purchase an xbox 360 controller for windows because my other 3 controllers were not compatible with this game.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Sports Game as of 2009

Pros: Solid graphics
Auto online player and team stats update
Real life player movement simulation. E.g kobe moves, shoot like real kobe so does other players.
Cheap. Worth more than that price to me.

Cons: Terrible online server. Down 3 weeks in a month. Dont ever think of getting this game for online play. Was able to play online last month after that its been hell.
Need a quad core processor to max game. Dont get this game if u dont have 4 core processor I7/I5 or AMD phenom X2
2k should have recomended quad core in the system requirements

Other Thoughts: Great game play.
Dont blame game for lag. Blame urself go and upgrade to quad core else lag lag lag on max setting.

1 out of 5 eggsNBA 2K10 took a major step back..

Pros: Price i guess..

Cons: Man where do i start? Lags bigtime on the PC and the players ratings are off, plus, what happened to the spin move? 2K9 was leaps and bounds better then this game. Beware and save your money...

Other Thoughts: I have had ever 2K basketball game made since 2000 starting with the dreamcast, i sold this years 360 and PC game for the first time ever.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good Follow Up

Pros: Awesome graphics if your system can handle it. Online. My Player mode.

Cons: My system could run 2k9 on high with AA no problem but with 2k10 I have to have everything on medium with no AA. Kind of disappointing. Online multiplayer doesn't work very well. Only got it 1 game and it was very laggy. AI can be very very frustrating at times. Little bugs here and there are also very frustrating, though rumor is a patch should be coming out soon.

Other Thoughts: Still the best sports game for PC by far. Obviously a recommended buy at $20.

5 out of 5 eggsNBA2K10 - Sam

Pros: Graphics are great and game play is smooth and enjoyable.

Cons: MAY need a quad core cpu to very run high frame rates. (70 - 90+ frames per second). My friend has a dual core and had to cut back on the graphics to run at reasonably smooth frame rates (30-40 frames per second)

Other Thoughts: I have an AMD 940 ,4 gig of ram, and a 9800gtx+ video card. NMA9K9 has stadium effects that really did not add to the game experience. For example, a sports fan moving thru the crowd from left to right and back again constantly throughout the game. Or up and down the steps constantly throughtout the game. Why ??? Just for some misc affects. This game has affects happening in the stands that add value to the game experience. Beautiful pre-game intoduction. Great graphics. I really like the menu system in this game.

5 out of 5 eggs2k10 > Live 10. $20 ?

Pros: Imma keep it short and sweet. Anyone who buys 2k10 for the PC is ripping 2k sports off. This game is underpriced for PC. I would have sold it for $35-40 dollars. Just doesnt make sense to me why they are being so nice with the pricing...

Graphics are stellar... Realism is apparent on HD 1080p monitor.

Gameplay is smooth and well developed.

*Online Play

*= Prior edition of NBA 2k for PC did not have Online Play.

Cons: Very Demanding On A Prebuilt Rig....

Face Textures Still Need Work On Some Stars...

Kobe on the cover...

Other Thoughts: Dont get this if you have anything less than a dual core at 3.0 ghz. The reason XBOX 360 and PS3 are so powerful is because their processor power and video memory are specifically dedicated to the games they power. A computer is much different in the sense that it has much more to power. It doesnt specifically key in on the game. There are other factors that play a part.

This game is on par with the demand of Crysis if not more. You need to have at least 4 gb of memory IMO and at least 512 mb video memory with at least a dualcore processor running at 3 ghz. Anything less and youll most likely have to play at minimum resolution with lowest settings.
