Step back into the unforgettable world of Rapture in BioShock 2, the next installment in the franchise that has won more than 50 Game of the Year Awards and has sold more than 2.5 million units worldwide. Developed by 2K Marin, 2K Australia and Digital Extremes, BioShock 2 provides players with the perfect blend of explosive first person shooter combat, compelling storytelling and intense multiplayer to form one of 2009’s most highly anticipated titles.

Set approximately 10 years after the events of the original BioShock, the halls of Rapture once again echo with sins of the past. Along the Atlantic coastline, a monster has been snatching little girls and bringing them back to the undersea city of Rapture. Pros: Great game when it works

Cons: It often doesn't work, at present won't even launch, HUGE amount of bugs, freezes, and crashes.

Other Thoughts: Google this, you will find many, many similar. complaints. The fact I give it 3 eggs is testimony of my love for the game when it works.Imo, best game ever.

4 out of 5 eggsBioShock 2

Pros: - Like the first bioshock, it has multiple ending depends on gameplay.

Cons: - xbox live for single game play. When first installed, bypass live signed up thought it will allow for single game play.
- like many others complain, game play too short, big boss is not very challenging like the first one.
- Occasional hang in Windows vista.

Other Thoughts: Look at the Bioshock Infinite, I will definitely get one. Anyway, Newegg rock!!! Fast shipping!

1 out of 5 eggsShould have called this game Crash and Freeze

Pros: Great Graphics.

Cons: Game will freeze at random. Updating video drivers and applying game patches do not resolve the problem. Just google the issue and you'll find this problem is widespread and 2K Games is no longer supporting this game. That explains why this game is now $6.99 when it originally sold for $50 a year ago!

4 out of 5 eggsNot a bad game

Pros: Not a bad game at all. Has many weapons and plasmids, more than the first one I would say.

Cons: I thought the story for the first one was much better.

Other Thoughts: Looking forward to Bioshock Infinite.

5 out of 5 eggsBallin out of control

Pros: Oh Lordy what an amazing game, the first Bioshock's storyline was unbelievable and I figured they couldn't really beat it which they didn't but still did a fantastic job.

Still an amazing game

Cons: I guess for other platforms (non-PC) this game isn't as good but I'm not going to dock any eggs for that obviously

Other Thoughts: Get some high quality headphones and play it in the dark, whoa nelly

And I went good daddy & drill spec all the way, so much fun

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Game

Pros: Excellent graphics.

Excellent voice acting.

Excellent gameplay.

Excellent story (though I will admit, not as compelling as the story from Bioshock 1).

Much improved combat, character development, and hacking over the first title.

Cons: My only complaint would be that the game is too short. But then, I almost always have this complaint when I finish a really good game. If you didn't want the game to end, it was probably a lot of fun.

Other Thoughts: Please don't complain about not being able to use your Xbox 360 gamepad with the PC game. If you are so hard up to play with a gamepad, buy the Xbox version. Options are always a good thing, but you don't buy FPS games for a PC to play with a gamepad (why are you playing on the PC in the first place? Keyboard + mouse controls are the reason why grown folks play shooters on a PC!)

I love the guy who says "Why all the 5 egg reviews?" Apparently you are the only person here with any taste. Funny, so many people loved the game and you didn't. They must all be wrong, eh?

If you enjoyed Bioshock 1, you will most likely enjoy Bioshock 2. If you haven't played either of the titles but you are curious, do yourself a favor and get Bioshock 1 first. It will help you understand what's going on when you start Bioshock 2, and anyway with how cheap it is now, there is no reason not to buy Bioshock 1.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Game!

Pros: Gameplay, User Interface, Storyline, Characters

Cons: Online play (Read more)

Other Thoughts: Bioshock 2, while somewhat creepy to play, is an excellent game. Picking up from where it left off from the first game - titled Bioshock - I think that the transition is seamless and provides for an excellent experience that allows yourself to emerge in the world of Rapture for hours on end.

I played this game for countless hours and learned to love the continuing storyline from the first game, as well as the complexity of the situation and what you learn from it, through use of the audio diaries scattered around Rapture. The interface is clean and easy to use and the Drill is oh so fun! However, there are some cons to this game; as I have listed above.

The main con with this game is the Online interactive gameplay. It is one of those "love-it-or-hate-it" relationships that I have learned to be luke-warm to overtime when playing. It's not very eventful and is very laggy (I've tried it on multiple systems and connections; same result).

Overall, Bioshock 2 is excellent!

2 out of 5 eggsmeh

Pros: never got it installed.

Cons: Alot of tech problems from GFWL. never got to play it. running w7 64bit. i researched for 3 days and found many people have had problems with GFWL. verdict: you have to install ALL of the updates and ALL of the patchs manually. what a pain in the patoot. so i just sold it.

Other Thoughts: im only out $20 so im not burnt over it. just a lil frustrated. only gave it 2 eggs becouse GFWL messed everything up for me. im sure the game itself is good. but GFWL just PMO.
