Pros: Everything is a Pro to this software, I have been using System Mechanic, which includes drive scrubber for over 5 years now, and couldn't be more satisfied.

Cons: NONE! Absolutely nothing.

Other Thoughts: I have been a satisfied customer of iolo Technologies software for over 5 years now. I use System Mechanic Pro for ALL of my security and maintenance on ALL of my computers. The software has caught many problems with my computers that programs like Norton did NOT. I would highly recommend System Mechanic/System mechanic Pro to Anyone who want's The BEST PC protection and support out there. My Product Rating: 10/10

Pros: Nice box, but wouldn't it be cheaper and faster to remove hard drive and hit it with a large hammer? Instantly removes any readable file from use by anyone ever again..... :)

Pros: It IS A SCRUBBER. IT WILL DELETE EVERYTHING INCLUDING YOUR WINDOWS INSTALLATION.

Cons: Sorry to here it stops when it finds a disk error. Quess you should do as diskcheck first with /r

Other Thoughts: To SameEggDifferentDay: I am sorry it did not wipe ALL of Windows from your drive. Having built all your PCs you should know after using a SCUBBER, you NEED TO REINSTALL THE OS.

Pros: When it works, it wipes

Cons: If there is a bad spot on the drive, it stops and tells you the wipe is complete, even thhough it never finished wiping the rest of the drive! Also, it only works based on the partitions on the drive. SCRUBS THE PARTITION, not the entire drive! If you have hidden partitions or partitions that do not have a drive letter assigned, then those areas of the drive are not wiped!!! To wipe the entire drive, you need to delete all the partitions, create one large one and assign it a drive letter, then wipe it.

Other Thoughts: I have submitted these bugs to them long ago, but they still have not corrected them (at least on all the versions I have). Want to see? Start wiping a thumb drive, then remove it while wiping (not recommended normally, but for the expermient) Says wipe is complete! Same thing with portable drives that have bad spots or accidently get powered down during wipes. You think it finished, but it did not. I hope this new version corrected these issues.

Cons: This software is inadequate and there are better free alternatives like eraser for windows and the DBAN (darik's boot and nuke) disk that are more comprehensive without the cumbersome license scheme

Pros: It does work.

Cons: Software has a cumbersome license that must be authenticated by the internet. They do not tell you this anywhere prior to purchase, but the license keys will expire. If you install it on one computer and wait a year before installing it on another computer, it might not work (it did not for me). The licenses are also not transferable, so a new computer means purchasing new software. I got the runaround from the manufacturer.

Other Thoughts: Out of frustration I went to Sourceforge and found and downloaded an open-source program for free (search for Eraser there). It works just as well, possibly better, and no runaround. I don't mind paying for software, but if you buy Photoshop or Microsoft Word you can transfer the license to another computer, and the license doesn't go bad.

Pros: I got it in a timely manner.

Cons: Simply doesn't work. I have owned a previous version and it worked great. This version loaded, began the scrubbing operation as instructed, and after about 2 minutes kicked itself out.

Other Thoughts: I tried this on several drives that I was trying to clean and no joy in mudville.

Pros: Great product does what is say's no problem , worth buying .

Other Thoughts: I have used this for 2 years and on several computers and it works great. I am very satisfied with Drive Scubber.

Pros: This is a great product for cleaning your hard drive and deleting files that you don't want to keep. I would recommend this to everyone.

Cons: If your not careful and retrive items you deleted before running this program....they will be gone FOREVER!

Other Thoughts: This is a great product to have around if you do a lot of downloading and deleting...not only does it clean your hard drive you can clean protable hard drives and flash drives.
