It runs diagnostics in the background while the system is idol so it doesn’t impact my work. It has maximized performance, kept file clutter to a minimum and alerted me to and repaired disk problems before they become big problems. In addition, it removes invalid and obsolete data from my Registry. All-in-all, System Mechanic is a great product. Cons: In some cases, it corrects all the problems without giving you a chance to view what the problem is or where it is. I’d like to see them give you the chance to view and select problems to be corrected. Other Thoughts: All-in-all it's a great value. Did you find this review helpful? N/A 3/5/2013 9:10:16 AM Tech Level: 3/5 Ownership: 3/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 5/5iolo system mechanic 11.5 download Pros: i was desperate when i purchased the download version of iolo system mechanic. It took about an hour for my purchase to go through then for the next couple of days i turned on the system mechanic to check my pc health. i ran the hard drive defrag with iolo sm after my micrsoft defrag stated i did not need to defrag. iolo spent about 3 hours defraging my hard drive and used like an o scope to fine tune my hard drive and accelerate the programs. I also used the registry defrag and compactor which i did not know could be dperformed. after that and few reboots my pc leveled out and was back to normal. it took a few times of shut down and walk away but the upon reboot i would run iolo again and check the pc health and all was great. i did perform some custom adjustments and it did verify specific tasks which were explained in detail that even i understood. totally satisfied i made the purchase. Cons: being skeptical before i made the decision to purchase. Other Thoughts: if you are more skeptical than i was try the trial verson. Did you find this review helpful?
