Pros: I've been using this software utility since version #4 and ever since I've never experience any issues with the software itself, keeps my computer clean and fast.

Many have been the changes that it's gone through and added features are always a plus. There's the "Professional" edition but I rather go with the standard, since that for Firewall and Antivirus programs I go with two other programs that are free of charge, and are the most reliable that I've ever used.

My yearly subscription is about to expire but I'll be renewing again, as I always do.
There are other software utilities but this one of the best (paying) programs I've used and will continue using.

I'd recommend it.

Other Thoughts: I use my computer for internet access, photo management and document management. Pretty mundane stuff. I don't really do a lot of high risk stuff and I don't game on my system.
I run Avast for security and I'm very adept at system maintenance so I wasn't expecting much. System Mechanic did report some registry errors that were fixed so for a cheap paid download I guess it was worth the price.

Pros: 1. Can automatically keep your computer nearly as fast and healthy as when it was new, and sometimes faster
2. Extensive options for system maintenance and repair
3. Can address problems automatically, or alert you to issues

Cons: 1. Constantly bothers you with pop-up "suggestions," unless you dig deeply into the program settings and turn them off
2. iolo loves sending you e-mail.
3. Program settings can be intimidating to novice computer users

Other Thoughts: Simply put, System Mechanic does exactly what it claims to do. I have used System Mechanic on my primary workstation PC for 4 years, and, as an IT tech, love its extensive custom settings. It prevents excess system clutter and fragmentation, can repair many Windows file system and hard drive errors, and much more.

Pros: None. I do not know what it is supposed to do; I got bundled with some other software I wanted. But it cannot be made to work.

Cons: It absolutely does not work unless your Internet Explorer is version 9 or older.
First I installed it from my regular user account in Windows and used my admin password to authorize installation. Then it did not work, and it took me several days to get an email response from tech support telling me to remove and re-install it.
Second, after re-installation, it did nothing. Occasionally it displayed a horizontal bar in the lower right corner of the desktop, but no message and no interactivity. When the program was started manually, the program's window showed several error messages, and there was no way to resolve them or to get the program to do anything. Tech support replied after two days telling me to roll Internet Explorer back to version 9. I rejected this advice and posted more questions on my ticket. After a few more days, finally, they tell me that the program cannot work unless Internet Explorer is 9 or older. IE 10 was released in October 2012 and IE 11 in December 2013. Apparently this company is not doing any development for at least 15 months.

Pros: I was unsure how effective this product would be, but for the $4.99 blowout price I purchased anyway. Regardless, my laptop HDD was showing errors, so I tried it and SUCCESS! Nice little desktop dashboard tells me when I need to run again..

Cons: Can't think of any..

Other Thoughts: Hopefully my replacement SDD will arrive before the failing HDD takes a permanent dump..

Pros: I've had this product for one year and have been mostly satisfied.

Plenty of tasks and cleaning, and unlimited PC installations.

Cons: Speeding up the internet usually lost the connection, and the entropy fighter (re-aligning files) in the past few months has magically led to more file scatter, not less.

Other Thoughts: I think it was free after rebate, but I've got AVG and I really don't need two products competing against each other. The price of $27 with a $20 rebate was spot on.

Pros: It is the single best program with it's many fixit sub-programs that fix and keep my computer running clean and smooth. Most of the programs run automatically but some you just have to start. De-fragment program much better and faster than Microsoft's or any other one I have tried. This is just one example of at least 20 or more programs, I never counted them, that have kept my computers running smoothly for about 10 years.

Cons: You have to be careful with starting some of the programs on System Mechanic if you don't understand them. I don't understand some of the programs and stay away from them.
Example, scrubbing the hard drives clean. I don't do that.
But that is one of the programs that you have to start yourself.
All the good stuff runs automatically. I have to admit I have System Mechanic Pro but I started with just the System Mechanic that sold me.

Other Thoughts: I sincerely believe that System Mechanic Pro replaces most of the other programs on the Market.

Pros: Great software. Keeps my PC performing at peak. I would highly recommend this product...

Pros: Cleans up the bad links and registry issues fairly well for the price. Was free downloadable so no wait for delivery.

Cons: Gets a memory error periodically, could be a hardware memory issue though so I'll only deduct one gold egg.

Other Thoughts: Was better in past versions, the GUI looks cheapened from before, but I especiallly liked it when the pro edition came with Kaspersky Internet Security.

Pros: cheap you should buy something better

Cons: If you have a computer you have to kill before your wife will let you buy a new one this software will do the job!!!!

Other Thoughts: There tech support has the longest line of hoops to jump through to reach anyone, I guess that way they don't have to really help you. Pay with paypal so you have half a chance of getting your money refunded when this kills your computer! Gave one egg because that is the lowest allowed!
