Cons: If your not very smart you think you can Defrag SSD Drives. I called them about this and they said it was ok for SSD. Wrong!!
While you can deselect c SSD Boot drive it will not keep that selection. You can set your pc for no updates. This software overides that setting. After the update it starts DEFRAGING SSD BOOT DRIVE thus killing your SSD registry. Do not purchase this for SSD Boot drive systems period. It also fried my motherboard.

Pros: Super simple to use and very effective !

Cons: upgrading to this version reset my account valid until date it cost me like 6 months I will contact IOLO and get it sorted out.

Pros: Solid-state hard drive defragmentation, easily turn off annoying programs, protect your pc without blocking everything like Norton tries to. Speeds up your pc ... Does what it says. It's cheap and works great.

Cons: Selects files for deletion or correction without warning whether it is safe, risky, on dangerous to do so.

Other Thoughts: With some difficulty, installed System Mechanic Professional in Windows XP. Ran a scan but many of the items it selected for deletion or correction were necessary to run the programs for which the item was part of. SMP does not provide warning about the degree of safety in deleted a selected item as do some other utilities. After I ran the program, my Thunderbird EMail wouldn't run and of course it is necessary to reboot after the corrections are made, something not necessary in other similar utilities. But then, it uploaded an upgrade which required another reboot and after that, SMP would not work. Couldn't contact Tech Support.

Other gripes are that all other security software must first be removed, a requirement that other utility software does not require. And I was supposed to get a rebate which I timely applied for but the rebate never came.

Pros: System Mechanic Pro is by far the best program of it's kind. It optimizes just about everything possible on your computer to keep it running at it's very best. This is highly recommended and is an absolute bargain for the low price that they charge!

Pros: Great Product! I recently had my hard drive that was in
the process of crashing and this product was able to get
it restored and working before it finally went out.
After it did I installed a new hard drive and after it
was fully operational I was able to copy my old data and
programs from the old hard drive to it so I had no loss
in data or applications. I now run this product in auto
tune up mode and it not ony does a quick job of analysis
but is always able to repair and/or restore my problems
with ease. I liked the product so much I bought on for my home computers and have had equally good results in restoring and backing up laptops that were running painfully slow.

Other Thoughts: Should come standard with all new systems and be mandatory or all older systems.

Pros: Been using System Mechanic Pro since 2004. It is the best all in one software you could ever want or need. I also love how iolo is always updating their software. This means they are constantly making their software better.

Pros: Iolo PC Mechanic is a great product I have used it for years professionally and privately. The Anti-Virus that comes with it is pretty decent too.

Cons: Some anti-virus programs will reject PC mechanic and prevent installation.
