Makes the computer slooowwwww ...
- Pros: It provides comprehensive security.
- Cons: I've been programming computers for 35 years and CA security suite is the biggest resource hog I've ever seen. This is very likely tolerable if you have a new, very speedy computer.
- Other Thoughts: I tried this software on the computer of a family member as a free download because they have Road Runner and the ISP gives it out for free. It made the (moderately old) computer safe, but pretty much unusable by spending the majority of the CPU cycles on simply staying safe. Hint: If you have another firewall keep it installed. I would even use the Windows firewall rather than this one. The initial CA instructions say you must uninstall your firewall, but you later learn that you don't have to install the CA firewall. I uninstalled the CA software. It would be adding insult to injury to say what I went with instead.
Nice Suite
- Pros: Havent used it yet, but if its as good as the 2008 version all is well. Dont need it until Jan but couldnt resist for the low price I paid.
- Cons: Cant tell.
- Other Thoughts: I only load the antivirus, antispyware and website inspector. Never use their FW (buggy). Only load what you need and your system will not bog down.

- Cons: It seems to be rathy jerky this year. I had CA last year and it worked fine right from the start. Well this is a new computer and I am still working out some flaws, maybe things will get better however I read some reviews because I couldn't believe I was having a hard time and it didn't get such high reviews......
- Other Thoughts: If you freeze peanut butter it wont spread so easy.
