5 out of 5 eggsGreat Company...

Pros: Is it the best I can't say ...I haven't had a virus! on top off that the trace program and ip adress ban are my favorites and the best part is my subscription ran out last week I complained the subscription was off by a month .I had dumped my computer wiped hard drive and perhaps that caused it pretty sure it did .But anyway....They gave me 6 months free how about them apples...

Cons: It will slow a taxed system down...Keep your system defraged and clean.I didn't get my first copy free but soon will . :)

Other Thoughts: Keep unwanted junk off your computer and it will run just fine...I like it my favorite program for what I use it for.Everyones needs are different,But overall I'm happy and you can't go wrong with them. Besides... if it's FREE it's for me!

4 out of 5 eggsGood product, for free.

Pros: Great for commercial use.

50+ PC's and haven't had a virus since switching to McAfee.

Easy to navigate, and detailed interface.

Cons: Occasionally when updating, other programs will freeze.

Program support.

Other Thoughts: We use this program at work. I am second to the Network Administrator and I have found this to be much better than Symantec.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage wouldn't even use it if it was free.

Pros: Atleast I don't use this product.

Cons: McAfee is complete garbage. I do tech work and 90% of computers loaded with viruses that "had protection" used either Norton or McAfee. The program eats resources and doesn't detect anything. You could send me mass licenses of this product and I would not take it or hand them out. ESET or Kaspersky if you actually want to remove or protect your system from Viruses.

Other Thoughts: I had to write this review to save hundreds possibly thousands from buying this horrible product. I would definitely look at AV comparatives ESET and Kaspersky are the only two Anti-Viruses that show up to the game.

5 out of 5 eggsGood product

Pros: Good product with great parental controls.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Beats the pants off zone alarm, that product is junk. Norton will stop working completely when the license expires now and it consumes to much resources "slows the machine down". That is why I switched to zone alarms and found it to be the worst.
MacAfee 2009 has been the best product out of the 3.
Well that's not exactly true, Norton is better technically but this is an overall review of the three.

5 out of 5 eggsJust a waste of resources

Pros: It's free.

Cons: This is inferior to every normally free virus scanner I have ever tried -- in which you do not have to pay $50 and wait for the rebate.

The only thing I've seen McAfee detect as a virus since 1995 has been Hijack this, which is a legitimate virus removal tool.

This is just a waste of money. Try Avast! Home edition, it's much better.

5 out of 5 eggsBest AV software out there at a great price.

Pros: The solution includes something called Artemis, which is a technology that goes out to the internet if a theat that is downloaded is suspicious. It's got instant detection capabilities for what they call "zero day" vulnerabilities. Mcafee has done a great job lately at also tuning the solution that performance is the best in the market. Also, it comes with something called SiteAdvisor which protects users from going to malicious websites and keeps the kids safe. All included!

Cons: Nada... it's good stuff and it works great on my systems.

Other Thoughts: It's the best... such a good value. wow.

5 out of 5 eggsMy first antivirus software

Pros: The site advisor is quite handy when doing a search on google. It tells you when a site may have spyware on it. There's a lockdown option which completely stops all internet action. It uses very little resources. There's a built in firewall. It stops that annoying little emblem windows has letting you know your computer isn't safe enough.

Cons: When doing searches if you hover in the wrong spot the site advisor will blow up their found info blocking the link. Click x to shut it down, not that big of a deal.

Other Thoughts: Antivirus almost isn't needed if you pretty much go to the same sites all the time. I've never gotten a serious virus but for the price I figured it was worth it. I have had spyware in the past and the freeware programs like spybot and similar programs will keep your computer clean but if you do a lot of browsing this is a great tool for the price.

1 out of 5 eggsBeware

Pros: None that I can think of.

Cons: My company forces us to use this at work on an already crippled computer. When you look at the processes in task manager, it is using up more memory than Windows. I even removed this from my father's computer and intalled Kaspersky only to find that he had a few trojans in his system. You could not pay me to use this program.

Other Thoughts: McAfee was a decent program back in the 90's I don't know what happened.
