Cons: I've had it let so many viruses through that Microsoft Security Essentials(a free antivirus) even caught. Just because McAfee is one of the most popular antiviruses, doesn't mean it's one of the best. Other Thoughts: Eset Internet Security is a way better antivirus. Cons: McAfee denied our rebate as no receipt was provided. It was stapled to the rebate form and is visible on our retained copy, they confirm they got one but not the other which is simply not possible. Cons: Inferior performing software; will slow down any computer it is installed on significantly. McAffee also has contracts with the DoD to have its software installed in every other government workstation so there is no incentive to improve because of guaranteed revenue. Other Thoughts: Manufacturer rebate offers on Newegg are getting out of control. I have over $150+ credits due to me on rebates I have not received, including the rebate for this purchase. Will not buy any more products with these rebate incentives since the claiming requirements and turn around times come short of fraud. 5 out of 5 people found this review helpful. Did you?
