Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus – 3 User

Pros: This program will prevent you from getting viruses period. It also prevents many other kinds of threats. It's a very simple installation of a very small file. Scans are very fast; and you don't have to worry about updates.

Cons: I like the Internet Protection or Complete better since it has more bells and whistles. This one doesn't come standard with that stuff but it's cheaper... It does however offer great basic protection.

Other Thoughts: It works differently than just about any other kind of antivirus by using cloud protection. Files are compared to databases in a computer farm somewhere far away and they can tell if you have a virus or not. I got this antivirus during a promo; and I recommend it for basic protection. Personally I much perfer the Webroot Complete since it has all of the bells and whistles but.... if you just want basic protection from threats, this will do the job... and then some..

Make sure to rejuster online. The product key and protected computers are managed in your online account. IF you don't do this; things may not work as well if you reinstall it a bunch of times or something like that; you should go online to manage things.

Pros: After AVG, Avast, MS Security essentials, ETC. this is a real breath of fresh air. When I plug in my 32GB USB flash drive (full of downloaded utilities) I can access it after 3 sec's - not the 30 seconds the other AV's take!! System scan takes 28 seconds and I can scan any folder/file with the right click context menu. Very few false positives and if I tell it to "ignore" it doesn't bother me again (some of my utilities "behave" like viruses). I still occasionally use Malwarebytes as a "second opinion" just to be sure.
I have already bought more copies for my other computers - the 3 pack 15 month is a real deal. The free AV's are very good but I haven't the patience to wait 30 sec's to access a file. This software (and my SSD) makes my old computer put new ones to shame. The whole computing experience is much more enjoyable - if you have infinite patience stick with the conventional AV's, otherwise buy this.

Cons: Customer service is above average in quality but slow to respond. Expect days of waiting for email support and hold times of 20 to 60 minutes for phone support.

Other Thoughts: Gonna order this for friends and family

Pros: 1: Real time protection module able to ran side by side with other av software.

2: Low memory footprint and fast scanning(See Con)

Cons: 1: Misleading claim for full system scan by manufacturer:* After initial scan, full system scans typically take two minutes or less. Now their "full system scan" is basically a quick examining of certain system checkpoints which doesn't fully scan all the files in your PC.

2: Product is still in beta stages not RTM which their senior software engineer admitted over at the support forum.

3: Intermittent BSOD when scanning a system drives.

4: Cloud based database: One need to maintain their internet connection throughout in order to be stay protected.

5: Inconsistent detection rate: A manual scan of a system drive revealed virus infection as compared to a scan initiated within the main GUI.

Other Thoughts: Webroot secure anywhere is webroot 2012 version of products which incorporated Prevx engine. I am waiting for reviews by independent labs as of time of writing this.
