Features

Features
Star Wars The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition combines the original Star Wars The Force Unleashed videogame with three entirely new single-player levels and a host of new costumes and character models. The three new levels introduce an exciting new "what if" scenario into the Star Wars universe and send players on dangerous missions to iconic locales such as the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Jabba's palace on Tatooine and into the thick of battle on the ice world of Hoth. New character models allow gamers to play as a legendary Star Wars character such as Luke Skywalker or Obi-Wan kenobi.

Features

Use the Force like never before with devastating attacks and combos on enemies.

Discover the untold story of Darth Vader's secret apprentice and the major events in the Star Wars universe after the rise of the Empire.

Digital Molecular Matter technology lets you feel the true power of the Force. Objects in the environment break, bend, shatter, splinter and shift as they would in real life.

Enemies are influenced by euphoria, a behavioral technology that allows characters to react in different and unique ways every time that you play the game, whether they are jumping to safety or on the receiving end of your Force power and lightsaber attacks.

1 out of 5 eggsawful

Pros: 1. It was so bad that I needed little time to decide never to play it again.

Cons: Maybe the game is playable on a console. MAYBE. But the port is HORRIFIC. The controls screen is still a 360 controller. The graphics "options" consist of a single option labeled "high detail". Every time you do a downward aerial slash the game slows down quite a bit(running a quad core 3.4 with a 5770 and 4 GB, can run Skyrim no problem). Game will not open if you have a second monitor on. Often unresponsive, terrible camera angles. HUGE loading times, even has to load to go from one option screen to another, even though the game is not even visible in the background while on the options pages, 3rd person viewpoint is awful for aiming the way you need to in order to play the game. Basically just a battle to get the character to do anything.

Other Thoughts: Seriously, please don't buy this for some poor kid for Christmas.

2 out of 5 eggsHorrible Port

Pros: The game was fun and the story was interesting.

Cons: The controls in this game are horrible unless you have a wired 360 controller. Next the game has almost no graphic options in the game menues. Finally the game no longer functions on my computer got about half way through it when a new driver came out for my video card after installing it the game constantly artifacts and blurs making it impossible to play. Odd thing is the menus, cutscenes, and everything else is fine its just the graphics during game play segments that is ruined. I know i could just role my drivers back but its just not worth it since my other 140 games on the computer run fine and the game wasn't that amazing to begin with just a plain and simple hack and slash. Besides the point at which i was at when these problems began occuring was a horrible puzzle which involved a glitched object which after 30 attempts and multiple restarts still refused to budge stalling me in an area for about an hour before i gave up.

Other Thoughts: Got it for little to nothing on sale a while ago so its not to big a lose on my part waiting for the price to drop even lower so i replace my pc copy with a 360 copy so i can finish playing.

1 out of 5 eggsBuyer's Remorse

Pros: It is star wars... if you are a fan, it will be less painful.

Cons: The game really did not port over well. Controls and camera are awful. Cant really play it with mouse & keyboard at all. Sound has issues.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy until after you have read all the reviews. If after you have done so, you still buy it, then you know what you are in for.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost what you'd expect from LucasArts

Pros: *STAR WARS!!!!!!
*ChallengingGameplay
*ingrossing Gameplay
*Good Story
*shipped a day early! IDK if this was Newegg's doing or UPS's; either way, I was plased

Cons: Not ported to PC well at all! LA didn't even bother to change control images, so on things like finisher cinematics, the game still shows Xbox360 controls; so you have to remember what that button is on the 360, and THEN you have to remember where that button is on your KB. this constant "translating" REALLY takes away from the amazing game

CONTROLS ARE TERRIBLE! They seem sluggish, and on KB/Mouse, they didn't seem to be, the least bit intuitively laid out. that said, see other comments

Other Thoughts: If you want to play this game on PC, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN XBOX360/PS3 controller for your PC! If it weren't for the sluggish, horribly laid out controls for KB/mouse this game would get 5 eggs from me. I have played PC games all my life; and in that time, i'd be hard pressed to find a game ported as badly. THAT SAID, after I borrowed on Xbox360 controller from my friend, the game took on a whole new life!

1 out of 5 eggsBad Shipping

Pros: Great Game, Excellent Graphics.

Cons: NewEgg shipping is getting bad. Eggsaver is a waste of time and money. Bought this game paid the extra money for shipping and its foing to take over 4 days to get to me.

Other Thoughts: Do your self a favor, if you need it fast buy it in a store and not here.

4 out of 5 eggsVery enjoyable

Pros: I've always wanted to give this game a try. The graphics are very good and the art style is excellent. Gameplay is not very unique or extremely fine-tuned, but it's always fun to throw enemies off of cliffs using the Force.

All the DLC released for The Force Unleashed is included, which makes me feel like I got more "bang for my buck." The packaging is very nice.

Cons: Controls are absolutely horrid. Maybe this game would benefit from using a controller, but I don't have a PC controller. More thought should have been put into making the controls work for a keyboard and mouse.

Also, you HAVE to navigate through menus with the keyboard; no mouse support. A small gripe, but still, what were the developers thinking?

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a small distraction between other games, check this out. If you're a Star Wars fan and don't already have this game, get it. If you're looking for a finely-tuned action game with extremely responsive controls, look elsewhere.

4 out of 5 eggsFinally unleashed to the PC...

Pros: It's Star Wars. They made action figures of this game... need I say more?

Feels like Crimson Empire, for you comic geeks out there.

Cons: It's a console game port. Lacks the old FPS feeling. More like a button masher. Why they just didn't make Crimson Empire into this game, I'll never understand... *shakes fist @ LA*

The biggest complaint? No multiplayer. Hopefully this will be fixed in Forced Unleashed 2. (Yes, go find the trailers..)

Other Thoughts: Unlike most of the negative hype, the PC version is vastly superior to the console versions. The only major loss is the use of the Wii remote. But what you gain in quality outweighs the console versions, easily...

A patch has been released, get it. Although, Logitech RumblePad2 & G13 gamepad work just fine with some pre-config. Not sure why people complain about this...

I built my gamer PC using a Q9650, 8g RAM, Vista x64, and a Sapphire Radeon 4870x2. No issues what so ever running at high res. Sound is awesome.

My nephew has played it on a Wii, and even he was impressed with the boost in quality of the PC version. Although, he still jerks the controller as if it will help... :-S

If you enjoy this game, make sure to get Street Fighter 4. Another port that actually has multiplayer and again, blows away the consoles.

4 out of 5 eggsVery good, but could have been a classic.

Pros: This game is actually official star wars cannon and takes place around the time of episode IV - a new hope. It fills in some gaps in the story! It features nice graphics (on a high end system, don't know about lower end though), relatively smooth game play, and decent re-playability. Using the force to wreak havok is an absolute blast!!

Cons: Camera/movement/targeting system take a lot of time to get comfortable with. After about 5-10hrs I mastered it but the developers should have made the targeting system much more accurate. 3rd person fixed camera perspective in boss confrontations without the option to switch is annoying and seems pointless. This is another feature that you will get adjusted to after a while.
Lack of mouse support while navigating through menus brings you back about 20 years technologically. Again you wonder what the devs were thinking. I've encountered a few graphical glitches and a glitch while custom mapping my controls but was able to resolve them.

Other Thoughts: 1. Make sure you download the update/bug fix patch.
2. Stock key mapping for attacks suck. I recommend either a multi button mouse with custom programmed buttons or an xbox controller to make things easier.
3. Don't give up on this game. I'm an avid Star Wars fan and eagerly awaited the PC launch of this game and was very disappointed with my initial impression after about an hour of gameplay. However, after I mastered the controls I've been having a blast with this title. I would like to see continued updates and perhaps added content for this title down the road. It has a lot of potential, especially if a patch is released addressing the issues I point out.
