KASPERSKY lab Pure 2.0 - 3 User

Pros: i've been using Kaspersky for more than 3 years and i never been infected once, one thing i like about the PURE version is that it blocks those annoying ads that you see in websites. it also has a password manager where when you log into an account such as email or banking, you'll only have to enter you login info once and it'll save it for you so the next time you go to the website it'll log you in automatically

Cons: none that i can think of

Pros: This is by far the best anti-virus (as far as performance) that I've ever used. Got it for free with the mail-in rebate + sale. Incredible deal.

Cons: Kaspersky can be a little challenging to use for non-computer people. Since it is a 3-user license, consider who else might be using this product if you're giving away licenses. The product makes up for this challenge in its performance (so no egg deduction).

Other Thoughts: I've tried most other anti-virus programs, and this is the only one I feel safe using. It's a solid piece of software.

Pros: No viruses so far. Whether that's Kaspersky's doing or not is difficult to know, but clean is clean.

Cons: The program reports compatibility issues with Spybot S&D, which is annoying, because I really like Spybot's immunize feature. According to SS&D they can't replicate the compatibility issues, and neither can I, so that's worth an egg.

Pros: This does in fact work on xp, because I installed it to my dads computer and it worked fine, he upgraded finally to windows 7 and it installed perfectly fine. Works great, catches everything.

Cons: A little slow at updating.

Other Thoughts: I've used almost every internet security package out there, including the free ones. Kaspersky is by far the best of all of them.

Other Thoughts: If this was to be free it should not have tax and the replies for rebates make it a gamble on getting a rebate at all

Pros: I've been using Kaspersky for several years and have never had a problem. Great protection. I don't understnad the issues others have complained about. I just installed my 3 user License on XP 32 bit laptop, a 7 Pro 64 bit PC and a 7 Home 32 bit PC. All installed and run perfectly.

Cons: As has been discussed, scans are pretty demanding and a full scan can take a lot of time. I'm on a Intel quad core so it isn't really an issue for me, but on a lower end computer it might be a factor.

Other Thoughts: Full system scans are best done on down times.

Pros: Works OK. Catches bad stuff

Cons: When something goes wrong, their support is virtually useless. I installed a 3 user license nd two days ago, Kaspersky KILLED THE LICENSE on one of my systems. I am in a lop with their support who seem to only be able to cut and paste from their worthless FAQSs. FWIW, if you search, it seems that others are having the same problem and are getting the same level of worthless support. I am moving to another AV product on my affected machine and will be moving the other 2 also. Another product (also sold by Newegg) has phone and chat spport. Kaspersky is email only.

Pros: User friendly, Easy to install, Great rebates, and fast shipping.

Cons: None

Cons: 2 weeks after installing on only one computer stopped protection because "end user agreement was violated"

I sent an email and got the nice message that maybe my key was sold on Ebey??? you kidding right? I still did not get my refund from them This is my first and last time to try this product.

Other Thoughts: Overall , NewEgg thank you for all your services but you can get around this one ..

Pros: This is a very good antivirus software

Cons: I don't know who's responsible, but it affects Kaspersky's name: I sent in all the documentation for the Newegg Kaspersky Pure rebate but after 7 months, nothing. It was marked as rebate sent (two kapsersky products, none the less) and neither have ever arrived after 4 months. Don't count on the rebate, it's false advertising.
