My reply to Kaspersky's "help" says it all.

I find your instructions and requirements for me to continue using a program I have become dependent on to be incomprehensible and unacceptable.

The fact, as I have already explained, I believe I have already done most if not all of these indicates you paid no attention to the time I spent gathering data on my efforts to date.

The fact your documentation provided no warning of this major change to computer functionality is very annoying.

The fact I had to spend an inordinate amount of time tracking down possible solutions due to the documentation that accompanies the product I was hoping could replace Norton has convinced me that Kaspersky is not what I was looking for.

I do not understand why Kaspersky could not provide support for what is, at least in my world, a very common software solution. The fact you apparently installed an undocumented change to an entire class of software products is baffling.

I am not sure how Kaspersky got the reputation it has, I find it undeserved.

My solution, which is successful, is to uninstall Kaspersky and use MSE while I look for a full featured protection tool more friendly to small business users who do not maintain an IT staff.

Other Thoughts: Apparently not possible to get live support.

Pros: The software is fantastic. Activated and installed on my 3 computers no problem, and I have never had a problem with it. No viruses, malware, trojans, etc.
I would definitely recommend it.

Pros: Install easy operates on it's own with minimum input. There are no adds to contend with like other software has.

Cons: It interferes with Internet access. Support is horrible to nonexistant unless you want to speak to some foreigner with an accent you cant understand who reads from a prepared speech that has nothing to do with your problem.

Other Thoughts: On a windows 7 PC the only way I could get back Internet access back was to uninstall it. I tried stopping it through Msconfig and services but it still interfered. Once uninstalled everything works again.

Called support and got no where.

Pros: None

Cons: This product was install over a year ago and was replaced with another produce because it failed to perform as advertised, i.e fail to stop malware. Last month a charge of $99 was on the credit card for an automatic renew Kaspersky. Not the way to do business, we were unsuccessful in reversing the credit card charge. Buyer beware.
