Symantec Norton Internet Security 2012 3 User

Pros: It's NIS 2012, it's good for 3 PCs, it's free after the rebate, and during their subscription, users are entitled to a free upgrade to subsequent versions. Newegg got it to me so quickly I didn't have time to finish my tea.

Cons: Lost an egg because Symantec technical support is mediocre. But Newegg-ers don't call technical support.

Other Thoughts: I'll probably use the disc for target practice. All you need is the license number. On the last day of my current NIS 2012 subscription, which has several months to run, I'll enter the new license number. By then NIS 2013 will probably be out, and I'll upgrade to it for free. What's not to like?

Pros: Have been using this Norton Internet security suite for several years now and they have definitely improved their product.
Very stable,easy on the PC resources, and easy to configure.

Other Thoughts: A great deal with the mail in rebate offer.

Pros: Norton NIS product is a must, get it or it's a bust. Stop those nasty germs in their tracks. Get the Norton NIS and then just forget about it.

Cons: no cons against Norton Symantec product.

Other Thoughts: This is recommended highly, or lowly. It's the best. Even if norton fails, you could reinstall windows, or linux, or perhaps some apple product. Either way, Norton is a must.

Cons: My issue is not with the program itself. I have lost my respect for this company based upon their rebate process. This wasn't my first rodeo so I was aware that there are a number of hoops to jump through so I was very thorough in submitting my rebate. Thorough to the point of scanning copies of my submission and taking a photo of the contents of the envelope. I guess they weren't expecting that when they listed my status as invalid for missing information.
In my opinion if a company will choose a $40 rebate over a customer's potential future business the they are betting their product isn't good enough for a second buy. Why should I disagree?

Pros: Rebate- 360 day membership for FREE

Cons: It wasn't free... OH wait it was....... So NONE

Other Thoughts: I have used Norton since 2005 and recommend it to EVERYONE. I bought a new PC due to the fact that the newest Norton program wouldn't run on my windows 98 PC correctly. I had no trouble with the rebate center or getting my rewards. I even messed up and didn't add the time to my active account and Norton's help center stepped in and added the time together for me. Took less then 4 days to make me satisfied with their support team. It might be a system HOG but its better to be safe then sorry. Everyone whines the configuration is hard and annoying not realizing that its that way to keep you safe and letting you know something isn't safe. If you can figure out myspace/facebook/twitter then you should have no problems figuring out how to configure the setup of this and use it correctly. To those who knock this company, they only do this cause they didn't read the manual first. ;P

Pros: I have been very pleased with Norton's Internet Security - have used the 2012 version on 3 computers and it has saved me several times from downloading "hazardous material" through Google search. I clicked on a link in a very convincing You Tube phishing email and it stopped me dead in my tracks with a big red warning sign ! I can hear it quietly working in the background, but it does not seem to slow my computer at all.

Pros: The suite is fine, this is about Symantec's disgusting rebate process.

Cons: I bought NIS and got the rebate. That comes in the form of a card that I CAN'T DEPOSIT IN MY BANK!!! Yes, I spent 15 minutes while they tried to deposit it for me. So I take it to Wallie's, and another 10 minutes while they try to apply it to my purchases . WALLIE'S COULD NOT USE IT!!! This is obviously planned by Symantec so people buy less than the card is "worth". There is no other explanation. I am very mad at Symantec for this low class attempt at ripoff...

Pros: Simple and easy to use, most important is, it doesn't slow down my computer must, even when I installed it into one of my old computer (P4 2.8Ghz, with 1GH ram).

Cons: My personalty think Norton is the best security software in the market. but one thing i don't like about norton recently product is when it expired, it will stop working. in the past it still working even it expired (the only problem is you can not upgrade to latest virus definition).

Other Thoughts: I really don't like UPS now, I make couple order on newegg, and I never got any of my item on time; and this is not newegg fault, I always track my order one a day after i made an order. i don't' know what the hell UPS doing but after they received my order from newegg, my item have been sitting in their warehouse for couple days before they continue to ship it to my door.

Pros: Doesn't slow your system down too much. Good protection. Settings allow you to set notifications from annoying to non-existent.
