1 out of 5 eggsNOT COMPATIBLE, WINDOWS 10

Pros: NONE

Cons: Not compatible with windows 10, which is not specified in the ad. Trying to get the Product ID out of newegg so Norton can help is worse then pulling teeth. AVOID THIS ITEM IF YOU HAVE WINDOWS 10

5 out of 5 eggsNorton 360 2014

Pros: Symantec protected my pc for years with no issues. Will continue to trust their products. You can download free security software off the internet but do you really know what you are getting?

Cons: Wish the software had a longer life than a year, is a bit expensive. They really need a repeat purchaser discount.

4 out of 5 eggsNot terrible

Pros: It's quiet and doesn't bother you unless it's something urgent. Doesn't really slow anything down while it's doing scans and updates.

Cons: So my only con with this is the Norton search bar. I say this because for some odd reason, despite clicking "Don't show this message again." It still wants to try and ask me if I want to re-install it. That being said, I run Norton 360 on 3 separate computers and this problem only effects 1 of them. I honestly cannot figure out why it wants to act up.

Other Thoughts: On a side note, if you switched from Norton 360 to Norton 360 Academic, for some reason it's now installed twice on one of my computers. Tried uninstalling and it leaves one trace version and then re-installing the latest one puts both back on again. ---- It's a little confusing some times, but once again it's only 1 of the 3 computers I have it installed on.

5 out of 5 eggsNorton is good now

Pros: *Stays out of my way
*gives reports of what it's done
*knows when the computer is idle, and does things during that time
*Doesn't eat a lot of resources

Cons: The only complaint I have is the UI. It's a bit hard to figure out where simple things are like the scan history, but this becomes irrelevant after using it for a little while.

Other Thoughts: Norton used to be absolutely terrible. USED TO BE. They've got good software now that doesn't get in the way, and with the 3PC deals, the pricing isn't half bad either. They're always at or near the top of the charts (I've done some digging) and I feel I can trust them.

I had Avast a little while ago, and I thought my computer had a virus I couldn't handle. I called them, and they said it was a virus. They then tried charging me $200!! I already had the software and everything! The best part is that it wasn't even a virus. I found the next day that it was a Windows Vista glitch, so the guy was either lying or incompetent. Either way, I can't trust Avast anymore, and Norton is doing just fine so far.
