failing to update windows. its saying error code 0x8007007B

will this work on a laptop its a 32 bit system 2gb hard drive my?

It will load and work on your system, however in My opinion Windows 7 works better for laptops and seems to be a more well rounded OS. Windows 8 seems like it was built for tablets, but will work on laptops as well (just not as smooth as Windows 7 IMO).
