Office 2013 is now transferable:

You may transfer the software to another computer that belongs to you, but not more than one time every 90 days (except due to hardware failure, in which case you may transfer sooner).
If you transfer the software to another computer, that other computer becomes the "licensed computer."
You may also transfer the software (together with the license) to a computer owned by someone else if a) you are the first licensed user of the software and b) the new user agrees to the terms of this agreement before the transfer.
Any time you transfer the software to a new computer, you must remove the software from the prior computer and you may not retain any copies.

Cons: This package does not contain Outlook, not even Outlook Express. Really stingy and foolish of Microsoft. Other Thoughts: I came looking for an upgrade to Office Home & Student for my kids computers, but it looks like MS has decided that they need to cash out with the new release. $420 to upgrade 3 computers rather than the $150 I was expecting? Or even better, I could pay $100 yearly - $500 over 5 years, for what I paid $150 for in 2008. Bah, humbug. We'll upgrade to LibreOffice, and my kids will have the opportunity to learn that MS Office isn't necessary to them. Is that what you wanted, Microsoft? 9 out of 17 people found this review helpful. Cons: I think it is important to point out that Microsoft has made significant changes to the way licenses work with Office 2013 over Office 2010. This version can only be installed on one computer, EVER. That's right. Not one computer at at time. One computer ever. This license dies with the first machine you install it on. Also, you do not have the option to remove the installation and re-install on another computer. If you get a new computer, for whatever reason, you'll have to by another license. Other Thoughts: In the course of my research, I read a professional review of Office 2013. Because of all the anti-pirating safeguards that Microsoft has, the reviewer believed pirating Office 2013 would actually be easier than downloading and installing it legitimately.
